Which do you prefer and why? I personally like the liquid spray because application is so much easier and faster. Less elbow grease. ;) What say you?

I have only cleaned a few bits of tack and that was YEARS ago. I think I used a liquid, but honestly I don't remember. I'm sure that the liquid is faster, but there might be a benefit to the solid that you aren't getting - donno what tho...

I think one benefit of the paste would be when cleaning smaller tack, like a headstall, you wouldn't have the over spray from the liquid. With the pasts, you can control where the cleaner goes a little better than with the liquid.

I really don't think the liquid I used was in a spray bottle, I think you put some on your rag and rubbed - that had to have been 40 years ago!

Yep, they still have it today, I think there is a bottle in my tack room. As for the liquid without the spray bottle, I don't know any advantages or disadvantages. Maybe cost?

i have only used the bar soap and that doesnt seem so bad... ive always been told that the liquid spray often sprays too much and ruins the leather but the bar soap followed by neats foot oil has always worked great for me!
