It seems extremely quiet around here during the Halloween

Well, today is Halloween, and the kids should be very exciting. Surprisingly, I don't see a single kid coming around this neighborhood anymore for trick or treat. I don't see much decoration on the front door or at the front yard. What is going on? Is it related to the weather or the economic recession factor? Where the Halloween spirit here?

We are experiencing the same thing here at our little community in Ohio. I only had five kids come to the door tonight. I think it is partly the weather, economics and the fact that more and more malls and stores have been giving out treats and parents may think it is safer to go there instead of neighborhood houses. I also don't see any decorations anymore. Things just aren't like they used to be when I was young and my son was young and going trick or treating. I think it is such a shame and very disheartening.

Tonight seems so quiet, and nobody wants to go out anymore. I felt disheartening somehow, and I just want to stay home too. I suppose to take my nephew out for trick or treat, but my sister advised me not to, because the raining, and also it is cold out there. So, I rather stay home now.
