How to deal with the relationship with your new colleague?

When you enter into a new comapany. Everythins is fresh to you, how can you estabish a good realtionship with your colleague? When you meet someone you don't like, what will you? Still having dinner with them, or choose another colleague? What do you think is the most important thing in estabishing the realationship with you colleagues or even the friend? The common instrest? The same background? The age? The apperance? or sth else?

For me I will always go for the friendly ones first =) sometimes they would approach you and talk about things =) don't be shy be friends with him/her ... since he/she is a friendly person, he/she will going to introduce you to the other colleagues in no time. If you hate someone keep it to yourself especially if your are new.. just to be in the safe side..friendship sake and work sake...
