I have never lived with a theif and I would not want to. I want to keep all the stuff I earn. I definetly don't want it stolen from me. I want to be able to leave my checks and other personal items such as rings out and know they are not going to be stolen. I could not handle stuff being stolen from me especially if it is my roomate who is stealing from me. That would not go over ver well with me at all. There is no way I would let someone live with me of that nature. Being a theif is wrong.

Excuse me, but have you thought to confront your roommate? Did you know, that there is a mental illness that makes people stealing? At the shop I used to work, we had 3 or 4 clients like this. Their family had warned us of course, and they payed afterwards the stolen goods. Maybe you have to talk about it with your roommate.

i would narrate you the incident when i was fresh into the college and was made to stay in the dormitory with four other girls before we got our permanent accomodation. one among them happened to steal our things.since we were five we started becoming suspicious of eachother as we were all new and didn't had the time to know eachother nicely. this girl potrayed her to be too friendly and extrovert and she was the second one to claim maximum amount of money being stolen from her .she was the only one with whom rest of us had some conversation.so we never doubted her.we were so puzzled as all five of us had lost money . we went to our warden and reported the matter. with her idea to track the theif by declaring that they are going to put a medicine in the food from the mess so that the one who is stealing will get sick and vomit blood still she admits the truth. the trick worked and my roommate admitted her theft ,apologised and returned all our money, all to our relief and amazement.for none of us ever dreamt her of such a thing.she potrayed herself such pious and goody-goody and we were so naive just out on our own.thats why she got caught too...anyways now anyone who is bit more friendly than usual and sweet talks is not trusted by me at the first instance..lesson learnt .

yes, way back in 2000. we were five flatmates at that time. we all graduated from college and decided to take another course afterwards. we came from the same university but never thought all the self-introductions he made for the previous years were lies and merely front to what he was actually doing. we found out that he was a professional swindler. we took our own way of finding out. we took the initiative coz me and my three other flatmates were worried. some of our stuff (money, diploma, or whatever document that can be used to defraud other people) have been lost. he defrauded some credit cards and stole shares of stock. there was a time that we brought our stuff (jewelry, money) when we took showers inside the bathroom. aaargh! sad but true, he was just 22 at that time. we gave him the graceful exit and never speak to him again. oh well, that doesn't mean i lost faith in people. sure i still have, i love making friends but now i trust my instincts. :)
