Have you ever wanted to watch a live autopsy?

Hi. tuckersheri. I guess, I would be one of those people that would like to know something, but would be the one that don't want to see it for their very own eyes. I don't think that I would ever want to see this procedure done from my own naked eye. I would be so sick from watching this done. I don't think that I could think about eating after watching this procedure.

it would be so awesome to be at a real autopsy I am fascinated by forensic medicine I dont have a problem seeing that type of stuff I have a strong stomach

I think you mean you like to see the body being dissected. I had never given it a thought. Now that you have mentioned it I wonder how it would be. I am a bit curious to know how the inside of the body looks like.

The thought of this does sound interesting. I don't know if I could bring myself to watch it though. Would my stomach churn for this or not? It would be educational that's for sure.

Hi, Tuckersheri! Here in Britain, the first televised autopsy was broadcast in 2002. It was conducted by a German Anatomist - Prof. Gunther Von Hagens (I've just had to go and look it up - I can remember it, but needed to gather the details! Lol!) I can remember the huge public outcry about it at the time, and I wasn't 100% sure, so I watched it, and ok, it isn't nice, but at the same time, it's really interesting, seeing how different things affect the body. All I can remember about it is the dissection of the brain, but I won't go into detail! You should be able to find footage of televised autopsies on the web somewhere. They're online here at Channel4.com, I don't know if you'll be able to access that or not?

nope.. but i watched videos related to autopsy... i love watching some kind of that videos.. specially terrorism videos.. like beheading their hostages... i want to watch autopsy videos because im very curious in what class of intestines do we have... i start to become curious when i saw some animals killing for some occasions...

I've seen plenty of shows like this happen on tv all the time. It's kind of hard to do that I would think because it is the job of the doctors to carry out the surgery. I don't think they are allowed to let you into the operating theatre and interfere with their work. There's not much you would be missing out on compared to TV anyways because they even show close ups and camera inside the person vision. I don't really like looking inside people's bodies anyways because it makes me feel weird.

I think I can't I only see it on CSI but not live I can't stand the blood and it is very scary to watch how they open up the body. I don't have a courage to see how they perform the autopsy.

In theory, I think it would be interesting. I don´t know how I would react it I went to see it really. My younest daughter had to go and watch an autopsy as part of her training (she is a lawyer and a judge)but she told me she had to get out. Happy posting!

No, I never thought of that. I know it's very important and can be very interesting but at the same time it can be very disturbing to watch also. You need a strong mind for it.

I think you should join CSI team.I don't dare to watch live autopsy.I will collapsed.I can't see so much blood.Better i do anything else.Have a nice day.
