what has been your worst holiday experience? for me it was my wife and I's third anniversary. We got into a big fight and she told me to pack it up and leave. We worked everythng out and are back together but still, it sucked to have to spend what is supposed to be a very happy day packing up all of your stuff.

How about a worse birthday? Well, ok...I have had many of those. LOL My partner can not seem to remember my birthday to save his life!!!! One year, he completely forgot...and when he went to write a check out the following day, it hit him. He then started to tell me that it was my birthday but I had to explain that my birthday was the day before. Would you believe that he actually argued with me for over an hour that I was wrong and it was in fact my birthday and he had not missed it!!! LOL Like I don't know when my birthday is! Or how about the year before last.... I drove cross country with seven kids by my self to get here a day before my birthday. And instead of doing anything special for me....we unpacked! Not even a cake!!! Man...birthdays suck!

No, I have given up. He will not remember and I have learned to accept that. Glad to read that some men make it a point to never forget again. :) Good for you and your wife!!!!

No, it's a day that's important to her. LOL and i DO NOT want her unhappy with me. She's pretty easygoing and laid back, but man if she gets mad, watch out. She might go on strike in any number of ways, and i'm very partial to clean underwear.

Oh man.i can't even imagine what being stuck in a car with seven kids cross country would do to my nerves. Especially trying to corall them by myself, oh geez. I have to say, that before i met my wife i didn't really care about birthdays, but her family goes all out on them. I felt really bad, the first year we were together, i was playing a trick on her and didn't even say happy birthday to her till like, halfway through the day, i had been planning a big surprise for her, but it made her cry because she thought i'd forgotten. LOL DID NOT MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN. I have learned, birthdays are important, and should ALWAYS be remembered. Especially by significant others. I hope you kicked him in the butt.

My worst holiday was the X-mas after my ex-wife and I split up. My entire family lives out of state and when my ex left, she basically took everything. I was in an empty apartment, lonely, without any kind of holiday stuff around, depressed by the fact the woman I had loved for almost 8 years was gone. It was the most depressing day that I can recall.

That's awful. I hate being alone on any holiday. Especially something like that where christmas is such a big deal, especially in this family. LOL you guys go crazy over christmas.

We had a crazy family holiday that went wrong on so many levels it was insane! We went camping in a beautiful part of the country - should have been peaceful right? My little sister got very sick and was vomiting all over the tent and camp site; my mother also got sick and had to be flown to the nearest hospital.. my dad was in a pretty bad mood.. and at some stage some family from germany joined us in this mad holiday. FInally when we were packing up I was securing my dad's surfboard to the top of the car and broke the wind screen! (MY dad LOOOOOVES his car). LOL! ALl in all a disastrous vacation!
