As one gets older, does the number matter anymore?

As a high school student, I have observed that some people count the different amounts of people they have slept with and that others just eventually, lose count. When people get older, do they keep counting? When you first meet someone of interest (e.g. dating), does it matter to you how many DIFFERENT people they have been with? I feel like it should, maybe not quite so much the number of people one has been with, but at least if they remember the other's names, occupations, etc.

No, I don't count anymore. I'd like to say I can't count that high, but this is not true lol. I just don't think it matters once you are older and in a loving relationship.

If there are no connections, it does matter. If there are connections, it still doesn't matter, as long as she didn't bring any baggage into your relationship....like diseases or lingering thoughts..., etc.
