Try running windows in safe mode. When you turn on the computer press F8 repeatedly before the windows splash screen appears and select start the computer in safe mode when the drop-down menu appears, use arrow keys to select, press enter. Choose Administrator as user (not your username or any other user listed there). Select Start, choose Run command, in the command line type chkdsk /f and follow the instructions on the screen. Hope this helps.

I suggest to install your Os again. Back-up your files and re-format your PC. That's the safest way that I can suggest, though.

To back-up you files, you should start booting your computer in MS Dos... Be sure to have another hard drive in your computer so that it you can have a destination of files...
To start, after booting your Computer in MS Dos, find the files you want first to be backed-up. Then type a similar command:
copy *.* d:\*.*
assuming that your secondary drive is drive d

That sounds really strange. Does anyone else know your password? I don't know how but I'm thinking that someone has found out your password and they have changed the password and have locked you out of the system. Who else uses the computer? Do you have any of the original windows installation disks? Sorry, I'm not much help otherwise. Andrew

no, its a family computer so 1 account only, and one password. i dont think anyone have changed the password and locked the the system, because none of my brother will pay for the labor of the techinian or whoever who will check it. no, my OS is an old version and i think we lose it when we rented a new house and maybe left it back there. thanks anyway =)

Hello. First thing you should do is check the connection cables. Try to unplug them all and reinserted them firmly. Then turn on your computer back. If the problem is still there I suggest you bring your computer to a service center to have it checked. Maybe there's a hardware problem with it. But if you know how to reformat it then go ahead. You can try it. Just make sure that there are no very valuable data on your hard disk drive. Yes you can download operating systems but it's not a right thing to do. It's piracy.

Try unplugging the system and resetting it if that doesn`t work you may have a virus or a trojan and you will need to have it serviced. If it is brand new call the manufacturer, you should have a warrenty that will cover this and they may be able to walk you through steps that way. I had to do that with one of my computers.

I don't know what's wrong with your pc, but it seems that bad luck with pc is contageous. i have lots of problems with mine. Anyway, why don't you go to a specialist and just be calm about it? Of course, you have to warn your brothers that repairing a pc costs money, and sometimes lots of money. Maybe they have to pay more attention to how they use it.

Maybe you did not properly shut down your computer. That happened to me before. Try to safe mode your computer, if nothing happens still, sorry but I think you need to reformat your computer.
