I don't buy the whole idea of love being blind. But I do see and experience how we start reasoning out for the other person's imperfection. Is love really blind? or are we just pretending it is? What do you think?

I think love is never blind, but the people who are in love are sometimes blinded by their emotions and feelings. They are blocking themselves from believing what is right or wrong because the new feelings are so good that they want them to last until one point when it starts to wear off that they will unblock whatever is covering them in the first place. So, in a way, yes, they are just pretending not to notice at first, which is quite natural in human beings!

I dont think love makes us blind. I think its that we are so infatuated that we tend to not want to believe any negative theories on the relationship. I think we do pretend because we just want to be happy. Sometimes we are forced to play the role just so people can back off. People love to through fuel into the fire. If we portray as if we dont care or are blind, then we put forth that its not important. dl

Imagine an hearing impaired bat who is also blind, Now that bat is most likely goin to have a difficult situation getting through the day by not making errors such as flying into a light pole or something close to that nature but all in all a greatful bat will most likely enjoy what he hears.
