I know that some things can be done simultaneously and seem to pay off by leaving one with saved time. For example, you can revise notes while you commute. But generally, do you think that multi-tasking works, especially with cognitive tasks? Is it the key to effectiveness, productivity and less stress?

..hi vaseboy.. yeah.. multi-tasking is one key to effectiveness and productivity but most of the time, stressful if not handled carefully.. this is why people who do multi-tasking should see to it that they love their work and they enjoy doing it so that they won't be hard up and they won't feel stressed.. because the secret to avoiding stress is loving and enjoying what you do and always focusing on the positive side which is focusing on the goal behind the work.. I have prove this so many times and it worked.. because multi-tasking is really needed if we want to be productive in our area of work and even in our life..
