Nowdays, I have formed a "bad" habit. You see, no matter how late I slept last night, I'd always be up earlier than I want to. When I am getting up and then begin my work, I will feel sleepy and tired of my jobs. For serious stress, in today's sleepless world of 24/8 daily life, it is next to impossible for us to fit in a single night of quality shut-eye. But it is obvious that we can benefit a lot if we can sleep longer without disturbance. So, do you have some tips on how to sleep longer without disturbance? Do you have the trouble of sleeplessness under stress? Thanks for your reply!

I'm not a very good sleeper myself. Even if I go to sleep in the middle of the night, I'm awake really early. I get my best sleep if I read for an hour or so before going to sleep. I get my worst sleep if I watch tv until I go to bed. I think that television overwhelms my brain with too many thoughts and images, between the shows, news and commercials

What is disturbing you? Is the phone waking you up? Disconnect it when you sleep. Do you get up to go to the bathroom? Don't drink liquids an hour before retiring. Find the cause of the disturbance than eliminate it. Try starting the day with five minutes of walking or other exercise and be more physically active during the day so that you sleep more soundly.

I used to have trouble finding sleep and if I do, it's always restless sleep. And so I asked around and tried my friends tips. If you take coffee during the day and if coffee is an upper for you, try to lessen it and don't have any by 6pm onwards. If you do, have decaf or drink tea instead. Be physically active during the day so you're body gets tired 'coz if you're just mentally stressed out during the day you'll also find it hard to sleep at night. Also, you can enjoy a nice hot glass of milk 30m before you plan to go to bed. If you're sleeping habit is not that good, try a week or two by taking over the counter sleeping pills -- the herbal ones are good. Better if you do consult a doctor so you'll know what's really good for you. Hope this helps!

Yes, I do! I sleep usually about four or five hours per night before I am awakened either by my bladder or the family.

My problem in regards to sleep is that I don’t get enough! I am always up very early which is great but I need to go to bed earlier in the evening which I don’t! Aside from a good comfortable mattress and pillow getting enough rest is paramount! Avoiding caffeine and having a warm bath before bed may help...

Hello getbrowser this is checkmail and do believe that sleep is essential to relax and enjoy a better life but not by sleeping for long time.It will make us lazy and more weak type of thing.Sleep till 7-8 hours is enough in 24 hours of our total time. Here is mine tip, get away from daily rush hours and spend some time in nature and interact with it, it will relax you a lot.Its also a kind of sleep and awakening.Yeah me too was havgin pro with sleeps when was studying and doing part time jobs both at a time and got my health damaged, later on advice of doc started with the nature and there is lot of improvement.Hope you will also try it out.

I am suffering from the same problem too as it relates to getting a longer sleeping hours. My body clock is so used to this already. I am a late sleeper but always the first one to be up in the morning. I am even an hour early to be up than my alarm clock. But I noticed that I can enjoy much hour of sleep during weekends—no worries of getting up early for work. More relax, more time for making up with the lost hours in sleep for the weekdays. If you make it during the weekend—you will be full of energies for the coming week and of course if this will be consistent will result to a better life ahead. Drinking milk and praying also help calm me and later make me sleep.

Go to sleep with the tv on, and keep it real low volume, that way you will be trying to watch tv when you fall alseep, if you worried about using energy then set the tv on a sleep timer.

hi, mostly i have no trouble of sleeplessness under stress yet, but sometimes i cannot fall asleep long after i go to bed, so i understand it's really uncomfortable if somebody has a trouble of sleeplessness. i have a suggestion: you can spend some time on sports every day, maybe appropriate sports can make you sleep better.

hi getbrowser I have a hard time relaxing so I listen to Mozart's gorgeous music, his flute, violin and piano sonatas. and while i listen I stroke on Suave's vanilla and lavender body lotion on my legs and arms. the lavender odor calms me and makes me more sleepy. Also as our room borders onto the back of a store, we have a lot of noise at night, so I have some heavy duty ear plugs that drown out that noise. these things help me to get more sleep.as an elderly person I have to get up and go to the bathroom at least once.

we at least need sleep 8 hours a day. if you are sleepless badly, maybe you'd better to visit a doctor. i think it must be something wrong with your body. to find the reason why you are sleeplee. i once had the trouble of sleeplessness. i am fine after i took some chinese medicine. in addition, you may go to bed when you are very tired. i now take care of my baby everyday not to sleep until my baby have her dream. i am so tired that i found i have no much more time to sleep. so you should do something before sleeping.
