Some people say, no matter how we try to do things, fate will still decide for us. But some also say that what happens to us is because of our determination and free will. Based on your own experiences, which one is really coming into play in the events in our lives? Is it fate or free will? What do you think?

There are some things in life that we can`t change but in general we decide what we want in our lifes. The life is made of decisions, big and little and those decisions could direct you in one direction or another.
So, the conclusion is that you make your own fate depending of the decisions tha you make every day.

Hi jenaisle, I feel that we create our own tomorrows by our actions today, so that means I believe in free will. On the other hand I also think that the people we meet in life are not there by accident nor are the problems we sometimes face. We do have free will in how we handle the things that happen to us in life, but not so much in the things that happen to us. I hope this makes sense to you. Blessings.

So many things have happened in my life which has proved to me that i have to go through my life according to a predestined plan. However i have also been given opportunities which i took in hand and acted with my free will and was able to deviate from the path which i was destined to follow. I have a strong will and this has helped me to surmount many difficulties which appeared to be my destiny and also bring about such changes which made my life worthwhile.During the course of my life some events did take place which would have got me into deep trouble but at the last moment a mysterious force which one would call as God came to my rescue, when i according took some decisions which brought positive changes in my life. God waits for us to make the first move in anything we do.If we make a mistake he corrects us, but we should have the foresight to recognize them and act accordingly. Then he steps forward and creates conditions which prove to be to our advantage. We talk of free will, but remember everything comes from God. When we are in tune with his will then we will always be successful and failures when we go against his will.It is in our hands to recognize what is good for us and what is not.

I think this two comes together as a combination in life. Certain thing in life happened because we want it to happen and so we arrange to the incident, however there are things in life that have been planned as well. We do not know when we will get a car accident but we can make it happen by driving when we are drunk.

I don't believe in fate or free will. Everything is a result of environment and situation. The choices that people have are limited by their current situation. The choices that people make are determined by the way they think, and the way they think is shaped by their past environment and situation - how they were brought up and all their past experiences.
Even before they're faced with a choice, their path is already determined by their past.

I think this like a bit complex philosophical problem. In my opinion, if one person want to be successful in his life, then he need both a good fate and exert himself, someone make arduous efforts for whole life, but the gad just don't give him a chance, someone is inept, but he understand how to clutch at any fortuitous or inevitable chance that might make him get some achievement.
Whereas I still believe a famous word:"If you exert yourself, you might still be unsuccessful, but if you don't exert yourself, you must be unsuccessful in the future.
