The package under the bridge

hi pat, usually the first thing that comes to mind when we discover unattended packages are bombs. yeah, quite scary especially in public places, buses, churches, etc. a few years back it happened in church. and then another in the passenger waiting shed in the airport. so, i guess those incidents made all people aware to be very careful of anything that is unattended. well, hope it doesnt happen again. ann

No but we did find the remains of a baby skunk. Does anything actually eat skunk?

hi savypat Yes a number of years back we lived in a house in Costa Mesa Cal. The people next door had a child about the same age as our son and a teen boy about 17. For some unknown reason this boy got a mad on against us, He made a homemade type incendiary bomb in a coke bottle. He threw it at our two little kids' bedroom window. The damn thing had enough incendiary stuff in it to blow out the window of their bedroom facing the street, this literally scared the wits out of our six and five year old kids. They were luckily too far from the breaking glass to get cut.It frightened us too and of course we called the police. They had a pretty good idea who was involved, and went right to the teen next door, one of our neighbors told the police that they had see Lori lurking on our porch that night.The police were going to arrest him but his dad stepped and sent the teen off to the East Coast to an Aunt. seems the boy already had a pretty long record for a kid of his age.

Wow..no..nothing like that to me. I would have flipped out had I found a box that smelled like rotting meat...oh my. I'm glad it wasn't a human although it's still sad it was a deer. Take care.

well savypat, right thing you all did ... must have felt quite adventurous i guess, well nothing of that sort has happened with me (unfortunately)... well it certainly might sound interesting and all but sometimes it can get a little more serious as well and so we must be careful ... i am most frightened with unclaimed baggages in the train coaches while travelling.

no nothing ever ever happen to me before like that, because i have always live in a house before, i never slept outside bfore, i always had a home to sleep in..

No, it has not happened to me, but it sounds really gross. It is a shame that they through that out right by your creek.

The way things are today you were probably scared it was human body parts! No, nothing like that has ever happened to me and I hope it never does. There's evil all around and I can feel it, I don't want to be touched by it.

I have not come across anything like that and I can appreciate that it must been a bit of a worry being able to smell it! I would have been concerned that the package may have contained human remains! Glad to hear it’s been resolved, not a nice find though...What about the poor deer?

Now that would be scary! We had a similar incident last winter in our small town, when a heart was found lying outside the back door of a restaurant. The police were called and upon examination, the heart was found to be that of a grown deer...most likely some hunter's idea of a joke?? Ugh. Karen

Wow I have heard of this being done, before but like you said you can never take a chance could be a body.
