My home is hardly ever 100% clean. There's always something, somewhere that needs cleaned. Although, it looks better than it has been...at least in the publc areas. The bedrooms look like they've been hit by a tornado. I started working on the kids room this morning. Wasn't able to get much accomplished, but it looks better.

Our home is clean, it is just usually messy. We have 4 children so it is very hard to keep all of the toys and stuff kids are playing with put away all the time. I wouldn't call it unclean, we do the dishes and clean floors regularly but there is always something laying around where it shouldn't be. My goal is to usually pick up kids stuff a room a night.

That sounds like the game I play at times. Although, I sometimes play that game in the afternoon, especially if I have to work that night.

I make an effort to try and keep things in their place. I try not to let the piles get to big before I do something about them. Clothes get put away, though they may spend a few days in the dryer. My biggest mess is the dust. I dont do dusting. Sometimes the dust bunnies get big enough to hop away on their own :). I also hate doing the dishes. I dont have an automatic dish washer, I do them by hand. I live alone and dont generate enough to make it worth running a dishwasher before I run out of certian bowls.
I know that it is harder to maintain order with kids, your house sounds just like that of my friends who have kids. I wouldnt worry to much about it, just try to keep the disaster look down to a min when people are coming over. and get your kids to clean their own room.

Right now, the entire apartment is a mess. Which is frustrating, because last week at this time, it was all clean. And it's not like i didn't clean at all in the last week.

hi,
It is always very difficult to keep your home 100% clean from every part of the room 24X7. But the main room can be kept clean to some extent and that too if you do not have too much of items in the room. Daily cleaning is very hectic thing and if we share the work equally through out the week it is good.

I know what you mean, most of the time when my girl and I go out for work we usually don't have time until the weekend to do house chores.
We might do a little here and there during the week but normally we come back from work awfully tired and just want to eat something and rest for a while.

There are times when I come home from work, and the last thing on my mind is cleaning. I just want to get something to eat, and veg in front of the television or just head for bed.

nothing feels like it when you're home-sweet-home at the end of the day and it's clean.
hello! i share a house with a friend who has a daughter for about 3 years now. the good thing is that we have our own rooms. i could see things scattered in the living room from toys to books to paper and many other things. but since i have taught her to keep her toys and things after using and she has grown up a bit, only a few things are scattered now. and she's scared that they will end up in the trash bin. LOL!
i agree with what the other mylotters say. your kids will grow up but it helps when you teach them how to be responsible in clearing or minimizing their mess as early as possible.
kids are great explorers and it means that they love to learn new things.

We are trying desperately to keep the common areas of the house clean, but it is difficult, especially on the days when I am keeping my nieces because it is vertually impossible when I have a three-year-old, a two-year-old, and a one-year-old and then a six-year-old when she gets home from school. However, at the end of the evening we do take time to straighten things up and it does look presentable then.
The bedrooms, on the other hand really do look like there's been a train wreck. As far as our six-year-old goes, we've been trying everything to persuade her to clean her room to no avail. Our room is getting better and there is really no use trying with our three-year-old.

Actually it is a matter of each member of the family. If every family member has a attitude to be clean then I think our house will be clean easily.

Yeah, I think everyone's room is never 100% clean. There should be a spot of dust somewhere. Especially when it comes to boys. I for example is just to lazy to put things in their proper place. As I am tired from work I just tend to throw my things around on the flaw, jump on the bed and play my laptop and open the television.

As much as I would like it to be cleaned, but still there's something on it.You know, we can't make everything perfect. Well, I always try to make my room pleasing in my eyes because if it's so messy, I feel like I'm always stuffy.

There are a few areas in our house that need to be finished cleaning up like the bathroom, vacum the carpets, and organize my office area, but other than that our house is pretty clean. I think personally the issue is what is Clean to one might not always be the Best for someone else, but it is up to you since you are the one living in your house if you are satisfied with how clean your home is for sure.

I know our apartment isn't that clean but I know it's definitely cleaner now than it was when we moved in! We didn't really give the place a good look over before we officially moved in but after we had been here a few months and started changing lightbulbs we noticed just how gross this place was! The light fixtures were disgusting. The carpet smelled gross. Just a lot of random things.
Since we've been here, we've scrubbed, we've disinfected, we've dusted. We've done all those things that people should do but don't always think about when living in rental units.

As for me ,i can't stand disordered home.So if the house need to clean, and i will clean it immediatly even i will be late for my work ,i will reset everthing and go out .But sometimes there are many houeworks ,i will share them with my family ,and everybody must do the work until everything is in order.
