What's the best movie to watch on a first date?

When you have a lady or guy over for dinner and a movie, what type of movie do you generally watch? Or what was the last movie you watched when on a first date. My DVD collection has substantially grown, and I find it more and more difficult to pick even the genre of movie! Is a romance to cliche? Horror seem to obvious? Heh, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Its the best move to ask the girl what movie she wants most. If she like comedy, then check the movie schedule for any comedy film, so a for drama or any other types. In the first date, its better to make the first impression and most of the times the girls dominate us as we wanted to empress her.

Ask your date what their favorite film is. Then either see it with them or a film in the same genre.

welcome to the wonderful world of mylot. wow just a few minutes ago and you have a best response already? har har har. comedy is a good movie to watch on a first date for you will both have fun plus you still have something to talk about after watching it. me and my wife watched Rush hour on our first date. we are married already for 7 years and still laughing at that movie. hope to see you more at mylot alka

Heh, that's my motto too! For some reason I just watch Tokyo Gore Police, and I think that's the goriest movie I have ever seen. That might be a bit too much for a first date haha.

I think the best movie to watch is a comedy... Something that is popular to the genral public. That way you can be on the safer side of the romance and horror. If you know of a good light romantic comedy then i think that will also work. I watched a action movie on my fist date with my husband, so if you know that they like action movies that could work too. Hope this helps anyone with this question.

Yeah I see what you mean, I think you're comment about how you know he likes action movies makes a lot of sense. It's important to maybe know a little bit about him or her and try to base what movie you watch on that! Thanks!
