To focus, study and learn will increase the brain's capabilities. On top of that, after one gains new knowledge, it creates the capability to come up with new ideas based on the new knowledge learned. Wisdom, knowledge, and intelligence must be discovered. It all depends on you!!!!! All the secrets of the universe are staring us in the face. Who can see?? Who can discover???? Perhaps, it's you!!

Some people are born are intelligent. Like they might have come from intelligent parents. I am a primary school teacher. I have noticed some children are very intelligent but they are lazy whilst others have average intelligent but they work really hard. A child that works really hard might do very well in tests as well as in class work. Young children of 3 years old might come from a home with books and toys or a home with parents that don't have any books. The one that comes from an interested in learning supportive parent might do very well at school. I did well in subjects I liked and badly in subjects that I didn't like.

No one is BORN intelligent, since intelligence is acquired.
To state that a baby is intelligent is plainly ludicrous: a baby is totally dependent. However, some babies are born with more capacity to develop intelligence than others. Here again, though, it very largely depends on the environment and upbringing of the child and on how the child's intellect is fed.
As the mother of a child who was tested to be in the top .0002% of the world's intelligence when about 10 years old, I know the difficulties involved in keeping the mind occupied and happy, while not overstimulating it.
I believe that most children, regardless of the genetic make-up of the parents - provided there is no real medical mental-health problem - CAN be given a deep desire to learn and be taught to develop their intelligence. Unfortunately other factors often negate this. Statistics show that broken homes, marital and/or financial stress and other factors often inhibit the learning process.

Some people are natural and born intelligent and talented. It is true and it's very difficult to compete with them. Because they have such a natural talent in whatever filed it may be. Same goes with intelligence.
But there are another type of people who are average or not so intelligent and talented. yet a lot of this type of people achieve big success only for their will to learn and hardwork. So if someone is not in born talented or intelligent then he'she can acquire that by hard work and knowledge. If there's a will then there's a way.

..hi cutepink.. Intelligence according to psychologists is a born talent and their are people who have this but they can't figure it out immediately because they ignore their capabilities at times.. however, people who want to become intelligent can really become one by learning.. you see, intelligence would entail the things we learn and apply in our life.. Intelligence is not only excelling in academics but it is more on the applications of things that we learn in our life.. So in your question, my answer is definitely yes.. intelligence can be acquired too if a person is willing to become intelligent..

well some people were born intelligent and it something to do with their parents genes.but to others become smart can be learn and we learn we were able to develop our brain and it is just like sponges that can absorb water.learning is a continues process and learning will develop as many experiences you encounter.
