Hello! So, I was thinking about how excited I am about the New Moon movie in the Twilight Saga. I have already read the whole series consisting of: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. I decided I would re-read the New Moon book before the New Moon movie comes out on the 20th of this month. So, how many others will be reading or re-reading the New Moon book?

I won't be. I went and saw the movie and was highly disappointed. I then read the book because everyone told me it was so much better then the movie. To me, it seemed to be almost exactly the same. I will give the movie producers credit that they stuck very firmly to the original story. I however, was not impressed with the book either, I thought it was kind of boring and anti-climatic. I am glad so many others have found it enjoyable though. It just goes to show we all have different tastes!

ahhh, yes, I didn't think Twilight the movie was too great, but this one seems a little more promising :) Different director- the one that did it this time is the same director for The Golden Compass and 30 Days of Night.

I've read the entire series fairly recently (this year) so I wouldn't be re-reading it - my memory serves me well enough. But it is my habit to read before watching if possible.
I notice that when you listed the whole series, you did not include the draft of Midnight Sun. Have you read that?

heheh Yes, I DID read Midnight Sun that was posted on Stephenie Meyer's webpage! My husband thought that was a little overboard, but when I was done with all four books, I was left wanting more. So, I had checked out her webpage and found the partial draft, so yes, I read that as well:)

I already read the entire Twilight series. I loved all the books. I have read New Moon twice but on the second time I read it, as much as possible I skipped the parts where it involves Jacob and Bella (oh that is almost 80% of the book). I did't like it that Jacob is forcing his love on Bella (sorry Jacob fans). The first time I read New Moon I found the story a little sad. Brought back my memories of breaking up with my boyfriend and having to deal with the pain afterwards. The second time I read it the sadness isn't that much untolerable. I also looking forward to the New Moon movie. Already saw the trailer I like it.

hah! Re-reading the New Moon book for the second time for me, was a little different from yours. See, I didn't care for Jacob Black either. I hadn't totally skipped over his parts when I first read the book, but I did the "fast-read" or the "scanning" of the parts with him in it. SO--- on my SECOND time around reading it, I decided to really read the parts with Jacob in it to try and enjoy all of the book this time.
Also, I have to admit that the first time I read it, I could totally relate to how she felt, being let go by the love of her life. I have to admit when I was reading where he told her he "didn't want her". I cried. lol This time around I didn't. (I guess I wasn't emotionally invested in Bella's character because I hadn't re-read Twilight along with it).
My husband and I are always watching the new trailers for the movie that shows up on YouTube or what have you. (he hasn't read the books, but likes the wolf transformations lol)

hehe I've read the four books already because as soon as I was done with one, I couldn't put it down. I had to go straight to the book store and grab the next one :)

I've read the book a year ago. I like to read the book first than movie it first. The book is more detailed. The movie is just the adaptation. Maybe, I'll start reading the last book which is Breaking Dawn because I stopped reading after Eclipse.

You really should pick up Breaking Dawn. I felt that the first book Twilight, and the last book Breaking Dawn were the best books in the series. The other two in the middle were just kinda "filler" books that filled you in on different details. There's a lot of awesome stuff that happens in Breaking Dawn.. a LOT of surprises :)

I haven't even seen Twilight yet so I will be watching that first! I just finished Breaking Dawn and I want more! I am reading the draft of Midnight Sun which you can find on Stephenie Meyer's website.
Anyway, I plan on re-reading all four of the books again. I am going to get Twilight on DVD and then wait until New Moon comes out on DVD or maybe payperview. I love the Twilight series! :)

To be honest, I wasn't really a reader before I read the Twilight series. I was forced by a friend to start reading them and I told her that I never had time to read because of my daughter and work. WELL--- if you find reading enjoyable, you'll MAKE time to read lol After the Twilight series, I was itching for more. I ended up landing on a more adult series. It's Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton.

i read Twilight and loved the book.. I am so glad I read it before I saw the movie because I thought the movie was horrible.. I heard new moon was going to be better and I just started reading the book.. I started reading the book 3 months ago but with 2 little kids its hard to do. I just started reading it again.. I am actually looking forward to the movie but I defintely dont want to see it until I have read the book..

I will have to admit that New Moon was my least favorite book because I'm such an Edward fan. I ended up "fast-reading" a few of the chapters because I wanted to get to the Edward part of the story. I'm now re-reading, not only because of the movie, but because I am now enjoying the Jacob Black parts as well! :)
And I have a two year old, so I have to read my books late at night :/

I have never been a vampire fan or a teen flix fan so I bypassed these readings all together. Now that doesnt meen I would never read these books, I just prefer Tom Clancy type readings. I know this discusion is about reading, but I have to agree that after seeing the twiligh movie, I would not be intrested in reading the book; its a little too teen scream for me.

Yeah, well, I would have to say the Twilight movie was very different from the book. So much happened in the first book that it must have been impossible to fit it all in one movie so a lot of it got axed.
