I have looked up famous peoples address before. I have written them but never gotten a response. I would have loved to get a response from someone. I wrote quite a few. I was heart broken when I got no response. I took my precious time to write a letter and noone responded. I know they are busy people so I can see the reason why they can't respond to every letter. It would be nice to have at least one famous person get back to me.

I love autographs and I usually write to my favorite actors and actresses. I tell stories and compliment them for their works, and if they don't mind, I ask them for a signed photo. I have received a few which include Denzel Washington, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, Anthony Michael Hall, Julie Andrews, and Hugh Laurie. However, I have received their signed autographs with some that seem like preprints or computer generated because there are no notes or whatsoever, except for Anthony Michael Hall which was personalized with my name on it and Denzel's which was in ink. Still I appreciate those. What I would love is for those who received their letters and sent the photos on their behalf would actually hand over my letter to them.
I have also written to Kevin Spacey, John Cusack, Dennis Quaid, Kenneth Branagh, Emma Thompson, Jesse Spencer, Robert Sean Leonard, and my favorite actors from Japan. I have not received a response from them and I'm anxiously looking at our mailbox everyday. I heard some people received replies after 2 or 4 years.
There were times when I wrote an e-mail and they replied, like SNL's Fred Armisen and Fab 5's Jai Rodriguez.
I hope the next time you write a letter, that famous person would reply. And maybe one day, you might receive a reply for your letters in the past.

Back in the 1980's, teen magazines all had addresses of various celebrities of which the fans could use to get in touch with the celebrities. They weren't their home addresses, but fans could write to them in care of the film company or network the celebrities worked for. Back in the 1980's, I used such addresses all the time of which the teen magazines provided. I wrote to such celebrities as Pricilla Presley, Prince, and John Schnieder whom you would probably know as Jonathon Kent on the hit itelevision show Smallville. Back in the 1980's he portrayed Bo Duke on the hit television show The Dukes of Hazzard. Such celebrities sent me letters and autographed pictures. Back then, celebrities corrosponded with the fans. But you must keep in mind that this was before the age of the internet and email. Pricilla Presley even sent me a Christmas card with hers and Lisa's signature on it.

hi tuckersheri
well i haven't sent something like a letter or something similar to that, well i play drums and this is a very old story but i am a huge fan of U2 and so i e-mailed them asking that i am a huge fan of theirs and i love their music and i would appreciate which drums do they use and after not many days i receive a reply they use a Yamaha... well it could be that the band managers or someones else might have replied to me, coz they are busy people and i guess they don't have time to read all the fan mails... anyways i wasn't even expecting them to reply.

Ahaha. I would have answered here that I once wrote a letter, actually a love letter to my crush and sent it to her but I realize she's not so famous. She's just famous in the school. Then I remember that I really did send a letter to a very famous person here in our country... Now, make a guess... Celebrity? NO. I send letters to our senators! Hahaha. Well like you I haven't received any response from them but it's okay. At least I tried to voice out my idea. shadow41

I have never written to a famous person. When I was young I was eager to do that. But till now I have never do that. Because the famous people may be very busy and fly around the world. They may have many addresses and they can't recieve the letter from a person who isn't known.

I have never written to anyone famous. I have thought about it though. I am just worried that it will never be read or replied to. I am also afraid to be judged by them also.

I did when I was still in high school. I guess it's common that when we are a huge fan of someone, we really want them to know, but I only did that when I was younger. I have written to a few famous people at my place and I did receive one response. I was so happy and it got me thinking whether that was his handwriting or did he ask his personal assistant to do it...

In high school, my friends and i used to write letters to actors and actresses we admired. Like you they were unanswered. After all of these years when I think back on this, I wonder what we would have done if our letters had received replies. Who knows? Even if the letters had been answered, they probably would have been answered by a secretary or manager. The odds would have been slim that the actors and actresses would write back to you themselves. Stranger things could happen though.

Yes.Lol..But that was when I was way,way younger. I had plenty of these fan magazines which have addresses of famous stars. One day I decided to write to them just to see if they ever reply. Sadly, no one did. Lol. SOme of my letters even came back to me. Lol

Yeah, it is next to impossible for us to get responses from these super star if we write a letter to them.
I remember that when I was in middle school, I was really addicted to a popular signer in my country, then, I wrote a letter out of worship and told that I loved his songs. And then, I was waiting for his reply with nervous feelings. But so far, I have not received any responses from him. It is impossible completely.
It is just a joke and don't pay more attention to this.

It is likely that you will never receive response and if you will, do you believe that answer is written by them?

I remember writing to the president, and writing to Good Charlotte (LOL @ both of these). I got a copy-and-paste letter back from the "oval office" (or whatever they call it), but obviously not the president himself (back when Bush was president!). I didn't expect to actually have him personally read it, or have a written response. I would imagine that he would have better things to do than respond to the millions of letters that he gets per day (although it turns out maybe he ended up NOT being all that productive..) and Good Charlotte sure as heck never wrote me back. I think I didn't really expect a response either time, though, because I understood that both parties were definitely too busy to respond to a small, insignificant person like me. But it was still fun writing them.

That's very interesting tuckersheri! When you write, what do you put in the letters? I'm just curious. Do you just say hi, hello, I'm a fan? Or do you write something dramatic to elicit a response?
I haven't written to anyone famous. But, I do write to presidents of companies if I have a legitimate complaint against their products or services. It doesn't get answered by the president itself, but I usually get something from a secretary or a public relations officer.
