Some of the students dealing in the field of science often confuse of some directional terms. by the way, what is the directional terms? Directional terms refer to position or location of part and direction of movement. The following are some examples of directional terms:
Directional Terms:
1. Anterior - Front surface
2.Posterior - Back surface
3.Superior - Above
4.Inferior - Below
5.Dorsal - Back Surface
6.Ventral - Under surface
7.Medial - Center
8.Lateral - Side
9.Dextral - Right side
10.Sinistral- Left side
11.cranial -Head, cephalic
12.caudal - Tail
13.External/Exterior/Superficial - outside
14.Internal/Interior/deff - inside
15. preaxial- near axis
16.postaxial- far axis
17.Proximal - Near origin
18.Distal - far awy from origin
