I have been to Australia twice. I been to some amazing looking cities like Sydney with the white sails of the opera house and the gray harbor bridge. I loved seeing all the unusual wildlife like the kangaroos, emus and cockatoos. I snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef. It has lots of backpacker hostels so that is excellent for people that like to travel with a low budget. Have you been there already? Would you like to go to Australia?

I've been to Australia, but I would loved to have been there more than the four days I was there. I didn't have near enough time to see and do everything I wanted to. I was there for the 2000 Olympics, after having won a trip there, and then on to New Zealand after the Olympics were over.

Yes, I loved New Zealand too. I had four days there, and I saw more of it because I didn't have Olympic events to attend. I hope someday I can afford to go back.

Hi my friend Ambie Pam. It was excellent that you won a trip in 2000 to see the Olympics. That would explain why you only had four days there. I hope next time you will have a longer time to enjoy it. I hope that you had a lovely time in New Zealand. I spent months there and adored Northland most of all.

Wow, that's just so beautiful. I'd love to go and travel to Australia someday. The different places of interests and like you said; the animals/wildlife - totally awesome. It's not everyday that you get to see a kangaroo and cockatoo. So cool, and I love nature so much, which I think Australia certainly have..

You will adore beautiful Australia with all the nature. The landscapes are stunning and the wildlife is fascinating. It is large country and if you have much time traveling overland you will see lots of scenery. If not you could fly to save time. Happy traveling.

I have always wanted to go to Australia. I used to have a pen pal who lived in Brisbane and I would like to meet her. After she married, she moved to a small town but I don't remember what the name of it was. I still have all the letters she wrote me years ago. I would have to get them out and look at them. I imagine that a lot of Australia is like the american west and I love the western part of the united states. I would also like to see the kangaroos and the koala bears. I bet they are cute! Kathy.

Hi Kathy. It is interesting to hear about the pen pal you had that came from Brisbane. It has a sub tropical climate and the interior is just like you imagine. I visited Kangaroo Island in South Australia and went out penguin watching in the evening. The next evening I saw a couple of possums. The highlight was seeing the kangaroos. Wow! Maxine
