Hiya every one! Its been quite a while sense I have posted anything, but really need global input on this one. I have been an avid collector of a certain trading card for over 15 years now, however am no longer interested in collecting them. My daily focuses now are on diffrent ways of making money, lol. I have started to sell them on ebay, and as they are selling, the fees are killing me, lol.
What I am wanting input on is: Does anyone have experience in branching out from ebay and starting their own website with little to (preferably) no start up money? What site/hosting service did you use? What shopping cart program works the best? What are great ways to advertise, as I want to attract a certain audience, not just ptc-ers clicking for their points? Where would I get a good TOS, FAQS, and Piv. Pol. page built up for little to no money? And lastly, but possibly most importantly, as I am looking to eventually go full time with this and make it a full fleged bussines, if you have gone from using ebay to having an online store: was it really worth it?
I have the will and the desire to do this and do it right, just no idea where to begin, lol. Cheers and thanks in advance for your responses!

i agree, the ebay fees are nuts! are there any other online auctions where you could sell your wares? is the item you have to sell of interest to everybody? you should do some research before you jump in. i would go visit your local library. they should have books on how to sell on ebay.

I have looked into other auction sites and even community e-commerce type sites and it continually falls back to the same issue of a per item fee. There are other sites out there that sell the cards that I would be selling, and they seem to be doing pretty well, and in the past I have even sold to them, however I am trying to basically "cut out the middle man" so to say. lol. I know how to sell on ebay, as I have been doing so for years, with a great feedback score, just tired of all the "extra" fees, time limits, shipping restrictions, yada yada yada you know. Thanks for your response though.
