I raised here in a country that really have strong family ties. Like even when you are already old you will still stay with your parents and take care of them personally. How about you guys?

I'm sorry to hear that Jo. I know that you have your reasons and even if I don't know, I understand you. Well, there are a lot of advantages when you are living in your own. Cheer up! God loves you... Happy my lotting to you

I am very close to my children and grandchildren. I have two sisters and am very close to one of them even though I love the other one.

Oh yeah I understand you. We love more the understanding and gentle ones. LOL! But what's important is that we love them.

I am very close to my family. I have always been close with my family. It was just the way I was raised. When my parents do get old I will take them in and take care of them. I won't let my parents go to any homes but mine. I would always make sure they have what they needed.

I'm 31, and still live with my dad. We help each other out. He's 75 years old, but healthier than me. So he takes care of me with my medical issues, and I try to return the favor with whatever I can. I give him $100 a month, to help pay the heating bill (I live in the basement, so crank up the furnace a lot in the winter!). I run errands for him sometimes, help with special projects like washing the ceiling to remodel the kitchen - he gets really dizzy if he has to look upwards for a long time. Lots of people think it's silly to live with your parents when you should be on your own. But I really don't mind. I love my dad, and to some extent I think he likes having me still around...less lonely for him in retirement, I guess. (I did try to move out once, and he said "Why do you want to do that? You got everything you need here, for free").

I am currently helping to take care of my grandparents medical needs such as doctors visits, prescriptions laid out for the week, making sure they understand what is going on with there healthcare. They live in a retirement community and are still taking care of themselves on a daily basis, but we had some issues with a doctor that was overmedicating and not testing to see if they really needed the medicine he was prescribing. I can't imagine not helping them out so that they will get to be a part of their great grandsons life as long as possible.

I love my mother and have stayed in town to help her out while my siblings left the area. Now my brother is back in the area. My sister still lives quite a ways away, but she moved our uncle and a cousin to be near her so she can take care of our uncle (mom's brother.) The cousin she moved is actually from the other side of the family.

I think here in the United States family is really important since if you do not have family you do not have anything, and I am really close to most of my family, especially my parents who me and my wife live with right now,and we are gonna get a double wide and put it behind their house, and my parents help us a lot,and they are helping us learn to budget our money, and I am also close to my grand parents and we eat dinner with them from time to time, and we spend time with my great grandmother especially on Friday nights because she can not be alone, which what do you expect she is ninety five years old and she can still move around.

I am close to my family. Even if have a work, still they encourage me to stay in our home rather than stay in my pad. Having close family ties brought forth success in career and personal life, that is according to my experience.
