Spells and Counter Spells

Firslty, I would like to say that this is not a discussion on whether spells work, etc. but let's say, for the sake of this discussion, that they do.
What if, say, someone put a "curse" or "hex" or something on someone but that someone then did a "good" spell for themselves, which would work? Would they counter-act each other and neither of them work? Would the stronger spell-caster have the stronger spell? Or what?
Answers would be appreciated from anyone but especially those with spell-casting beliefs/experience.

Hhmmmm interesting question..I think that its not so much the stronger spellcaster as much as it would be the more intense energy put into it...A person could be a strong worker of spells in general BUT if they hex someone and the person theyve hexed is more intense in ridding themselves of it they would be more successful...Spellcasting after all is about energy ya know..so whoever puts more energy into it would come out on top I figure..

As I understand it, it is actually easier to break a curse/hex then it is to cast one, and the negative energy one needs to summon in order to do that is often more harmful to the caster then the victim.
That said, it would be fairly easy to break it when you have a general understanding of how it was cast :)

I think we bless and curse one another in our thoughts everyday.. I wish every prayer for others would come to pass.. perhaps they will!

The way I understand it is that normally the stronger spellcasters spell will work over the weaker spellcasters spell.
Putting a curse or a hex on someone isn't something a genuine white witch/wiccan will normally do as they believe in whatever you do to other people will come back on you 'five fold', which means that if you make something bad happen to someone, you'll get something five times worse happen to you, however it works the other way around too, if you do something good, that should come back to you five times better.
Although, if you believe in the power of good over evil, then perhaps good will always win out. :)

Hmmm. I think good over evil and coming back 5-fold only sometimes works. I'm not planning on hexing anyone, just curious.
