Depends on what you need it for. I have both, my PC is a powerful machince that does all the hard work. My laptop is easy to take with me to bed or to the sofa. I wouldn't want to give up either of them :)

I used to have a desktop, when it broke down I chose to buy a laptop instead of a new desktop and I am very happy about that decision. I love my laptop, and it is very convenient that I can use it wherever I chose. I have a wireless internet connection, and when I am going somewhere I can simply bring my laptop and use the internet in another town if I want to, that gives me a lot of freedom. I don't plan on buying a desktop again, I like my laptop too much It was easier to play computergames on my desktop and a bit easier to work with pictures, but I still prefer my laptop.

Computers are really neat and I know that everyone has one and I am not sure which one I prefer because my parents have a desktop that my wife normally uses to use the internet and do her mylotting, and then we bought a laptop which is also really neat and it is where I use the internet and do my mylotting and they are both Dell and Dell is one of the best companies, and we have had no troubles with their laptop or desktop and I would recommend Dell to anyone who wants a laptop or desktop.

I'd pick laptops because of its major advantage - portability. I think PC's are getting cornered by laptops a their use is slowly getting limited to offices. With prices going down, and technologies advancing rapidly, laptops are getting cheaper and faster.

I like to work on my laptop because it is easier to navigate and so convenient to use. I could use it anywhere and anytime I wanted. Although PC always have its full functionality when it comes to storage and applications. So I better have both! But still my favorite is my laptop. Happy Lotting!

I use a laptop and can't imagine using a desktop anymore. My laptop originally had 60GB harddrive which I had to replace when it broke down. I installed a 120GB drive and now I have more than enough memory. I also have a 500GB external hard driven which I store all my downloads etc. Laptops are so much easier, I can take it on holiday with me too.

Well I personally think it depends on what your using it for. I have both, and I love and use both. See when I am going somewhere or want to travel around the house ect. I like to use my laptop. But I sometimes find it easier to use my laptop and maybe more comfortable because I can move the key pad around. At work also I prefer my desk top. I can log into my work computer at home on my desk top or lap top with MYPC so it doesn't really matter program wise. I also find it easier to load up images/edit photos with my desk top. If your a student I would say lap top it can go with you to campus or anywhere you need to lib/home ect. If you only use your computer at home and have not other uses for it then I would say stick with a desk top. But with that said, its really personal preference.
