i think its bad when you have a stable job that you thought you was going to make career and then bam you get fired for having the flu!. Thats what happened to me. I called into work a couple weeks ago because i had the flu. on that thursday my boss texed me and told me to feel better dont worry about coming in friday. i thought that was fine because i needed to get my rest being that i was acking and just down and out with the flu. Get dressed for work monday morning excited about going back to work only to recieve another text from my boss telling me not to come in again. By this time i felt like something was wrong because i recovered from my sickness and i missed three days already i needed to work and also because bills dont rolling. i ended up going to my job and realized she hired someone else in my place and she then persisted to tell me that i was suspended but did not have a reason besided the head man that doesnt even work in the office told her to suspend me. i ended up calling him to find out what was happening and he didnt have a clue to anything i was talking about not even the fact that i was suspended. I guess because i called the head man i was terminated as of today but i still do not have a conclusion for why i was terminated. what do you think?

Wow can something like this be legal .I think you should consult a labour board or something labour ethics group because that cannot be ethical .I mean we are humans and as such prone to sickness .Are they saying that you cant be sick and what would happen if the person they hired gets sick too,ARE THEY GOING TO BE HIRED AS WELL.
I think your superiors might have wanted to get rid of you from before and is just using this as an excuse to do so

Hi, n_lovick22. That is very sad to hear. Your boss could of at least have been honest with you about her wanting to replace you. A job that does not respect you and your life is one that is not worth staying with. Having the Flu is a serious illness if it is not properly monitored. Your boss must want to catch your germs then. Don't stress it. I would not be surprised if this new worker that has replaced you decided to chicken out on their job. She may not have a worker, she may try to call you back up. This is what happened to my husband, on his job. His supervisor had let him go just so she could bring someone else in to the job. And then come to find out she, has never remembered firing him. Now she needs him back as a worker.. What goes around comes back around again. If this manager thinks that she can just dismiss you like that, she better think again. Because when you do someone else wrong, you never get away with it. She should have been more considerate to the fact that she terminated you while you was sick. She is a dirty manager, she doesn't deserve a great worker like you anyway.

Sounds like something simular that happened to me. How was your relationship with this boss? I worked at a job for almost eight years. Then a manager from one office was transferred to our office and our manqger was tranferred to another office. before her, I had no problems, almost never got written up for anything, got a perfect attendance award. But she didn't like me from the beginning after making 3 mistakes. She started writing me up for everything. After 3 years with her, one day, she tok me into an office after work. There was someone from Human Resources there and they had paperwork, talking about there has been some isues with my job performance. I'm thinking they were going to start making drastic measures to improve it. Instead, they were excersizing the "at will" thing. They called it a "separation of employment." I don't know how long you worked there but just put that company behind you and concentrate on finding something else. Remember hyou get unemployment. One tip I have if you were there a long time, you may wanbt to go online and get some interviewing techniques. Youtube has quite a bit examples on how to answer certain questions. I say that because I found out that after a year of interviewing, I waqs making many mistakes. Had I done that in the beginning, I may have a job now. Goode luck and try to stay positive.
