Recently new to myLot, I see that we have a melting pot of people here and figured I would be able to get some insight, encouragement and/or advice into my situation. I'm a 35 year old woman, diagnosed as being infertile. I have PCOS and two blocked fallopian tubes (hydrosalphinx)...yeah, a double whammy. Not so much as the PCOS that is bothering me as much as the 'hydro' is! You see with the blocked tubes, as it is stated to me, it is virtually impossible for me to unblock them naturally and that in order for me to successfully conceive would ONLY be to removed both tubes and thru IVF. I refuse to believe that! I believe in Traditional Medicine, Chinese Medicine, Holistic Medicine, whatever you call it. Not to say that I don't believe in modern medicine, which I do, as I rely on it for certain situations but I seriously believe there has to be a way. I've done some research into this and found out that there are herbs that may clear the blockage, along with abdominal massages and accupuncture. I've come across various sites, www.felopio.com, www.clearpassages.com, www.clearfallopians.com, blocked-fallopian-tubes.com and biotanicalhealth.com...lol, just to name a few, you can see I've seriuosly looked into this. Well I would like to know if there is anyone, woman or man, that may have gone through this, is going through this and what you may have done or is doing? Has anyone tried traditional medicine and were you successful?

I know it's been 10 months, but thought I'd share my opinion. If it doesn't help you, at least it may help someone who finds this posting:
There are no herbs to clear a blocked fallopian not can TCM clear them either. Physical issues such as hydrosalpinx must first be taken care of via more modern interventions and THEN you can address the issues which can be remedied via TCM and the like.
I went through 5 years of western infertility treatments (IVF, Clomid, IUI, etc.) with no results other than being told that my FSH levels were too high and I should just give up on my own eggs and either get a donor, or adopt. I finally turned to acupuncture as my last ditch effort, and conceived a beautiful baby boy that is not only my son, but also my sun.
I shared my infertility voyage with many women suffering from both just as you are. There is a great book called "The Infertility Cure" by Randine Lewis that should be read by everyone who is facing infertility. I would recommend it along with western methods as a great way to deal with the fertility issues we may face.
