I regularly get emails from Game Stop in my inbox, these emails are usually good deals or information about something that is coming out,I checked my inbox earlier and saw a collector's edition of a game that has not been released yet but that I had the original version of reserved at Game Stop,I had my wife call and ask if we could switch that version to the new collector's version, and they said yes,the collector's version is limited, so we were going to go get stuff for supper anyway, and decided to go to Game Stop while we were out, so we went there, and reserved the collector's edition now, and also reserved the guide for the game that is coming out the same day, in total, we will pay $100.00 for the game and guide combined, but seeing as it's one of my favorite series I do not mind, the game is Splinter Cell:Conviction, so any fans of the Splinter Cell games might want to call their local Game Stop if they have one, or local game store, anyway, to my questions, have you been known to reserve a copy of something and then find out they have a collector's or special edition of it coming out, and if so do you switch to the collector's edition, does it just depend on how much you are a fan of the reserved item? Will you go out and buy the collector's edition even if it's more just because you like the word "collector" or "special" or even "limited" in the title? What video games have you gotten that were collector's editions? did you get this for a family member? will you pay more for a collector's edition of a game or toy for someone in your family? If you do this, does it depend on how much they like the game or toy, or does it depend on their age? This is a serious discussion that deserves serious answers, I am really interested in finding out what others have to say on this topic, there are a variety of questions, so if you can't answer one, answer a different one,but please stay on topic, it helps all of us here on mylot(land),Hope everyone is having fun mylotting, and have a wonderful day,as well as good luck with your mylotting goals.

I know that you are a big fan of the game, and I thought it was cool that they have a collector's edition, so I definitely wanted to call the store for you, which I did. I am just glad we got up there and reserved it and the guide that we didn't know about until we got there. 10% off I think they said if we have our edge card? that's not a bad deal, and maybe I can win us a gamestop card to pay for it on!

Yeah I am so glad you called, and like I said that is all I want for my birthday since that is when it comes out,and since we ordered the guide and game together we save money, and then we save ten percent since we have an edge card so it is a great deal, and we are coming out with a lot more things,at a good price, and I can not wait until it comes in next year, thanks for responding,I love you.

Well you know that I am going to get that for you, and I'm going to work my butt of on mylot since I think we should use money we get from mylot for our "need to buy" items.. and of course I'll continue to look for great deals, just like I know you won't pass up a good deal at gamstop if you see one through your email.
