I have had an xray and i was told that the reason my back was causing me pain was due to a twisted spine,at least i know why it hurts shame they can only give me pain killers as well as the we will refer you to a back specilist. Its winter and just like everything else my back aches,my toes and fingers ache well their pain killers are rubbish.I have enough appointments at the hospital now without giving me even more.

jugsjugs I am so sorry to hear that, and I know from
friends how miserable back pain can be. I would think
there was something they could do to untwist it,but
then of course I am no doctor. Its a bit cooler here in
Ca and my knee with its old arthritis is kicking up
a storm.Yes indeed you should go to a back specialist
as I am sure there is more they could do for you than
just some pain pills. Hope you get some relief soon.

What has caused you to have such a twisted spine? How about water therapy, like a hot tub? I always want my friends to feel better. I had not experienced the feeling old until this year, as I am less active now.

I have had a twisted spine (scoliosis) for most of my life. In my case, it is way too advanced. Nothing is going to change it. Scoliosis is best address in the early teens, when it is first starting. But, even then, treatments have not been very successful.

I now have arthritis in my spine, so there is nothing that they can do, other than give me morphine. With it being really cold it do not really help, as it makes the pain seem a lot worse. You would think that there would be things that they could do in this modern age.The thing is people do not realise that you can not stand straight when it comes to x rays, until they say can you stand as straight as you can.

how about some exercises to untwist it? I know, sometimes those pain killers do nothing, except maybe upset your stomach. I have a heated mattress pad that makes my back feel better.

i know how it feel when you have problem with your back. i my self have low back pain, which was because of one nerve trapped between the spine knucklebone. it feel so bad. i can't get up, sit. it hurt so much. but i could ease the pain by physioterapy. and it can't cure my pain unless i take the surgery. but my doctor didn't recommend me to take the surgery action. since she said that my spine is not the worst one.

I think that there are times where i am in tears and can not find a way to get out of the pain and it has been that bad, that i do not know how to sit or lay down.I find that when it gets really cold it hurts a lot more and i do try to keep warm. as i have other health problems.

I am so sorry you are not feeling well. Hope you get to feeling better soon. I know sometimes with doctors is not easy to know what to count on. Some diagnostics are just to vague and is not a confidence builder.

thats sad to know but the spine is one of the most delicate part of the body and one must take good care of it. i think you really have to see an specialist for that to correct it early.

Hello jugsjugs this is checkmail and me too am sorry for you condition and hope you are still willing to cure it.Hope you would like the way, according to me you should try out the physical ways to recover from the back illness.I am knowing Neurotherapy, which includes treatment of the disease through personal contact with that of the patient. You might have knowledge about aqupressure, aqupuncture etc, they are famous but involves lot of pain.In neurotherapy its less pain and quick recovery.Better try out at some neurotherapy centre at urs place.Hope you could recover soon.

Please comply with all the medications -- i hope there will be more available meds to relieve you from pain. The cold weather really aggravates the pain. I know the feeling when i broke my little toe from a stair fall. It was terribly painful! Don't give up... be strong! You will pvercome all these pains my friend!

Hi Jugs. I really feel for you. I have back pain, but nothing like the pain that must be caused by a twist in your spine. That's awful for you.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that the back specialist has some good techniques for you, and in the meantime, I'll be sending good thoughts your way. I know you've probably tried everything, but I've heard from a couple of friends that those new heat patches, which you apply directly to the afflicted area, are really effective.
Good luck hon.

Hi Jugs,
I am sorry for that. The spine is the most imortant support for your body. How doest it cause for the twisted spine? Is that because you overload too many weight in your young? I think it will stop the pain temporarily by prescribing the pain killers only.If the spine is twisted, does the doctor suggest you have the operation about that? I am not familar in such kind of area, you had better check with the doctor seriously.
One of my male friends also happened to the ailing spine. But after the X-ray applying, there is nothing on that. Now he also feel painful while winter comes now and then. Doctor just suggest him have a optimistic mentality. He feels better now. Emotion sometimes will affect that. You should ajust your emotion first and then coordinate with the doctor for further therapy.
Hope that you can get over it soon.
