If any one religion is the only true religion, then why does not the god of that particular religion reveal hinself to the entire mankind?
It makes least sense that a particular religion is true and other religions false. Why would the so-called true god look on while millions of people wroship gods that are supposed to be false?
Moreover, we are limiting god when we say only a particular reliigon as true. We are placing the unlimited in a box.

There are hundreds of religions in the world today, and many ancient religions that are no longer practiced. It is possible, and perhaps likely, that all religions contain some truth and/or good moral advice. However, in examining religious teaching, it is important to examine the fundamental beliefs of each religion and compare those to each other. When this is done, it is apparent that primary religious teachings contradict each other and Since many religious claims contradict one another, it would seem that not all religions could be simultaneously true

Sometimes this leads me to think that perhaps none of them are. Perhaps they are but perhaps they aren't. If it fits your life, go for it, but never believe any guilt inducing comments any person makes regarding what you SHOULD do with your life or any decisions you SHOULD make.

The truth will be found by those who are truly seeking it. And any coherce statement, or attack by others will only sway someone in the opposite direction.

God did reveal Himself in the wonders of His creation. Christians believe in Natural and Special or Divine revelation. Everything around us point to the existence of a creator God and this God revealed Himself in the Scriptures and in the person and works of Jesus Christ. No, we can never put the Almighty in a box. Of course, others will not see things this way and may probably disagree. They have their own concepts of God.
God created man according to His own image but man created gods according to his own image.
So going back to your question, why did God not stop other people from worshipping false gods? I can only say Let God be God and He works in mysterious ways. We are not in the position to say what He must and should do. This is tantamount to reducing God into a size whereby we can manipulate Him and tell Him things that He ought to do.
Like what you said and implied, we can never limit God.

The last line of your post is the answer itself…restricting the omnipresent in a box or in a category or in a particular belief is insult of any and all religions. God is to be sought and found by the individual in which ever way he/she finds it acceptable and natural. That is why there is monotheism in Islam where there is no image of God as He is present everywhere, Christians have Christ through whom they hope to communicate with God, Hindus too see God everywhere and that is why even a stone or a tree is worthy of worship while other oriental religions too have their own teachers while laying stress on the sanctity of the soul, which is a part of God. So ultimately it’s the same thing…I believe it was Confucius who said that there are many routes to the top of the mountain but the view is always the same.
But climbing the mountain is an arduous task which many of us are loathe to undertake…that is why we fool ourselves into believing that our personal God is superior to your God and that my way is the best…we unnecessarily crowd the base of the mountain and in all the humdrum and commotion, the true spirit of the idea of God is lost.

If one drink water, he can say he drink water, or he can call water in any other name that is the synonym of water.
However if one drink cola/pepsi or if he drink urine and claim that he drink water, then it is not correct.
So the one who drink pure water does not hurt those who drink cola and claim it is pure water. Because they just think cola is water and they have no proof to back up.
Cheers.

in Islam god sent many messengers from adam to prophet Muhammed. so he sent 124000 messengers to world with the same same message as worship only one god and the revaluation as per the time period. so the followers od Adam AWS) followers of nova, mosses Jesus. the problem where people got divided, when the followers of Adam refused the other messenger Abraham, noha.
like that when a new revelation came some reject the new one telling that its false prophet and followed their same one with corruption. they change the actual scriptures as their own benefit. they gave important to the messenger who sent for them but not the message which sent by god.
so they betraying god. as followers of mosses (pbuh) didn't accept jesus (pbuh) and the followers of mosses refused Muhammed even though its mention in bible about the final prophet Muhammed. so no one can blame the god. its up to the person who reject his commandments.
the message sent by god is to believe in one god and worship him alone. anyway we all worship one god but calling him in different names.

The One True God did reveal Himself to mankind - through his Son, Jesus Christ, who was God Himself made flesh. God allows people to worship false gods because he gave us free will; which includes the choice of whether or not to worship Him. Also, God is not limited. He cannot be put in a box, because He is infinite and His Love is infinite. All things are possible through Him.

I don't think there exists a Muslim god, christian god, Hindu god etc. There is exists only one, who created the whole world, mankind, water, air, and sustaining these all.
That creator and provider is one, can be called as 'The One Almighty God', We Muslim call him as 'Allah', because its a unique Arabic word, that means 'The One Almighty God who created and sustains everything'. The word Allah can't be made as plural or it can't alter the meaning similar to Goddess or God Father etc.
God is not a creation, God is the creator, he is not a physical object or energy as we see other objects. If he accept other forms means he become ungodly, God won't do ungodly things.
Peace.

I don't know what the answer to this is, but I certainly do not believe people who say that there is only one thing, only one way to do something, only one direction to go, etc. This is called being closed minded and not paying attention to the fact that DIFFERENCES exist for a REASON. If there were not SUPPOSED to be differences, don't you think they wouldn't exist?? I surely do.
People, humans, are also equipped with FREE WILL. That is VERY IMPORTANT. Until such point in time as we are NOT given this freely when we are born, that ability to THINK, DECIDE, and then DO based on OUR experiences, OUR personalities, and OUR situations, THEN you can tell me there is only ONE WAY, or ONE RIGHT THING. As things stand right now, there is not anywhere in this world any other ONE PERSON who is EVER any BETTER than me or knows more - perhaps they know more personally but not about what is best for me in any situation. So... whatever you know to be true for you probably is, but that does not make it blanket arbitrarily true for any other person. Until people GET this, there will always be issues and conflict surrounding religion, because religion is a belief system based on nothing you can see, nothing proven, and of course NOT equally important to every person.

That's why there's the Holy Bible for us to read and find out what the true religion is. I asked that question once to my friends like, "Yeah, if that's the true religion then why don't God reveals himself so that people will believe and have unison in peace?" They just said to me to read the Bible and you will find the answers why. Just like John 1:18 says.

Heaven, hell, soul, gods and cosmos are matters of faith rather than of scientific knowledge. And if it claims existence claims, it must be bounded by science, for the physical manifestations of things should be limited by laws of nature.
Most of the religion in the world are out of reason, that's why they are not true. I mean, hey, religion should be limited based on pure reason. As Einstein stated:
"Religion without science is blind; Science without religion is weak..."
Therefore, one must have his religious stance based on reasons. The god of that religion should be a god who has an over-all power above, as Aristotle proposes in his philosophies.
