What do you think of healthcare for all? I am on the fence about this one. I do think that all CHILDREN should get healthcare regardless of healthcondion.
As for adults...there are far to many "drains on society," who don't work, and don't contribute to society in any way except to breed like rabbits. If they want more social security or food stamps, it just means it's time to pop out another child. This does not include housewives whose spouce or significant other work, seniors or those who are disabled (though I know many who do work dispite their disabilities).
I think if you are an adult with a job you should be entitled to healthcare. I know it's kinda socialist but would you pay someone to clean your house if they never cleaned your house? I believe in helping those who help themselves. There is just too big a part of our society that "gets something for nothing." This has been going on for generations! Mamma never had a job and she raised me and my 6 brothers and sisters without any of our fathers so I can do the same...and so on and so forth.

But it is a godsend for all those jobless and pinkslipped people.. Thanks to the global recession..
For the moment I support Obama's health policy. Let there be changes to the draft later..
Here is a great resource on Obama's health policy..

I am for everyone having health care, but I don't necessarily want it to be run by the government, and I don't think hard working tax payers should have to pay for those who refuse to work or excel in life as you call them drains on society. I agree with you that children should be taken care of and i believe those over 60 should be taken care of. Especially because many of them are let go by their companies earlier than the 65 years that many would want to retire and current benifits begin to kick in, causing many of them to struggle for that 5 years without insurance or having to pay for it themselves on litle income. I also believe that those who can not work due to legitimate health reasons should be taken care as well. I believe affordable health care should be provided for everyone, especially for those unemployed or under employed, but I do not think that adults should have to pay higher taxes to pay for other capable adults.

Exactly! I don't care if it's state run, government run or all the insurance companies got together, made friends and created something that works. Of course I agree that those who can't work should still be taken care of. It's not their fault, they didn't ask to get old or be disabled.

I work full time for a small business. There is no way that my boss could afford to provide health insurance for us. He did at one point and I had to kick in 36.00 per week. It was going to go up almost double and so I dropped it and he stopped offering it for any of us because it was just too costly. I can not afford it. If I were to get sick right now....I'd just have to deal with it because I can't afford to go to the doctor's either....can't afford prescriptions. I'm sure there are just as many in my situation as there are that are milking the system. I actually think they have changed many of the welfare rules to try to put an end to those that just keep on having babies in order to stay on the system. I hope so anyway.
