What drives people to play MAFIA WARS?

Mafia wars is a browser game at www.facebook.com at first i find it boring but lately it makes me play it over and over again. And now it made me addicted to it and the catch is that i am not the only one whos very addicted with this games but millions of people too... what do you think? Is it because of the social networking site facebook? is it because of it is a good game? or is it because the instinct people's drive and thirst for money and power is very strong? so.. what do you think?

i played it over and over also. but when i reasently reached level 300, it just stopped being fun, i had done close to all tht i could exept for level 5 AND 6 in moscow.. but till level 250 the gamer is a blast :D!

Yeah the game is a real blast but what do you think is the real reason why people love playing it?

Hi! I also play Mafiawars, not in Facebook but in Tagged. I also have account in Facebook but I just prefer to play it in Tagged. It has no animation, but it still fun and exciting especially if you keep on winning fights and getting achievements. I am currently just in level 65 but doing well. The situation I hate most in the game is when someone put me in the Hitlist, then I will be attacked by higher level mafias. It's a mismatch. I can say that MafiaWars is really fun and a great game.
