Do you work near home or far away from it?

I work in a city far away from my home. so i can only go home twice or there times a year. i am enjoying the life that get out of control of my parents. but many friends, they suggest me to work near home for there are more friends, and life will be more convient. Well, working near home or far away is mostly a life style, a life choice. i just wonder you guys work near home or far away from it?thanks:)
