Is it too late to learn to swim?

I am fond of soaking myself in seawater but I never learn to swim. Nobody’s been there to teach me that. That was one of the stuffs that I hate about my parents. They never teach us to swim even how to bike. I odn’t know but they’re indulged to much in finding ways to feed us. They think that their responsibility just end there. They never talked to us about other things. That’s why even I get older im not that close to them. Is it too late for me to learn to swim?

it's not yet too late, by the way, we're on the same track, me too don't know how to swim, but i learn little by little, and it's good that we should enroll in a swimming school. and now that we have kids, then it's our responsibility to indulge our children to different skills.

It's never too late to learn. period. You should take a class or ask a friend to teach you. Taking the initiative is always better than just waiting around for something to happen. I started photography a later than all my friends. But with a little practice and a lot of determination, I can now confidently say that I am at par with them. Give it a shot!

thanks for the suggestion. i just hope that some friends would spare some time to teach me to swim or i just better enroll in a swimming course. i always have the desire to swim. it always had the most advantage among other things. i salute you for being brave and confident.

It is never to late to learn new skills like swimming or cycling. I can swim which is useful because I love being in the warm sea when I visit tropical locations. I adore snorkeling to see colorful coral and friendly fish. I didn't learn to swim until I was 10 years old. I wasn't very good at cycling until I was that age as well. I regret not learning to drive a car when I was 17, 18 or 19 years old. I waited until my thirties to learn to drive. I so wish to pass the practical driving test soon. Your parents might not have had the money to teach you to swim. My teenage son can swim but my toddler son lacks confidence in the swimming pool. He hated the time his dad took him into sea water in Portugal.

Learning can never be too late. Well, that's what I think anyway. I somehow know how to swim but, I can't say that I can do it pretty well. A colleague of mine taught me after a student of ours tried to teach me how in an English camp that they participated in. If you are willing, you would somehow learn faster. If you are always hesitant, you would actually take time. It might be difficult for some but, its really rewarding once you get to do such things that you thought you would never learn how to do at all.

My parents also don't teach us how to swim and how to ride a bike. My father is a Navy he is a good swimmer but he don't teach us how to swim when we are younger. We only learn to swim when we are in College. I don't know if I'm still know how swim I'm only know one stroke which is freestyle. I haven't swim again for 5 years. Parents should also encourage their kids to learn new things unlike my parents they don't have time for that. Right now even it is too late I want to learn how to play a guitar.
