the steps on how to do CPR.
Let say you are walking on the street and you encounter a man/woman on the sidewalk unconscious on the floor. What will you do?
First, check the area if it isn't danger for you. Go ahead and help.
Second, check his/her pulse on her beside trachea. If there's no sign of pulse call for help but don't leave your patient.
Third, put his body flat on a ground facing up we call that supine position.
Four, Check his/her "AIRWAY" open his mouth try to see if there's any objects or foods blocks. If nothing try to feel , look and listen if she/he is breathing.. you can see the patient is breathing if you can see the rise and fall of his chest. If there's no movement proceed to next step.
Fifth, You do the Compression on the chest.

Yes. I was trained by Red Cross to do First Aid and happy to tell you that I have applied it over friends, relatives, families who got simple cuts and bruises. The worst accident I attended was a broken leg in one of our camping trips. And the good thing is that he's a stranger. I never applied my CPR skills and hoping that I wouldn't do it because it means that someone is in trouble. But when it comes, I would give my best effort to do it correctly and help save lives.

the methods on how to do the CPR are first you have to approach the patient try to wake up him/her if there's no respond find a pulse you better touch left side of the neck if you don't feel it try to near your ear on his/her mouth to feel if there's air comes out and see the rising and falling of his chest if in case there's no sign of it you have to apply the CPR and that's thee time you place your hand on the center of the chest to measure it 1 1/2 or 2 inches or place your hand horizontally in the underarm towards the patients chest you can feel the flat bone and then start pumping until the help arrives. But for me i will say you have to learn that methods in the actual because CPR is one way to help the person to survive. I'm thankful that i know how to use CPR so i can use it in case of emergency.

Thanks for the steps. I'd assume there are some steps involved though I don't know totally how to do CPR. I've seen plenty of it on tv, I've just never been trained nor had to attempt to do it to someone.

Yes,, I know how to perform CPR. I have gone through three trainings on CPR. I am used to them referring to the steps as the ABC's of CPR. It is a good acronym for helping people to rember the steps. Airway, Breaths, Compressions. As far as the whole breaking of lungs I've heard different accounts about that so I am really not sure what would happen. I've never had to actually perform CPR. I have used the whole technique of sweeping the airway before to remove objects from a student's mouth that he could have choked on if he had swallowed the object.
Personally, I feel comfortable using CPR if needed in a work situation. Not sure how I feel about a stranger. It is that whole liability aspect. Okay I know the good samaritan law is supposed to protect someone that stops and helps from liability but people can be weird and you have to admit our society is pretty lawsuit happy. I mean if people see the opportunity to sue someone for money they will take the opportunity because they see it as being able to cash-in on it and make money off of the situation. That is my perception at least.
