Hi wmraul, well I had to do a bit of a back into your pictures here in case I came in insulting you with my loathing of beards, and you do indeed need a good shave and a haircut. Women are always right about these things as I'm sure you know. I like short dark hair, definitely no beard of any description and no tash either please. It is however impossible for a Greek man to be clean shaven as it starts growing back the moment the razor is put down. Now an absolute must above all else is must have chest hair.
Another point with the beards is they invariably make a man look both scruffy and shifty.

As a woman, I prefer my man (men); either clean shaved or with a mustache (if the mustache is kept clean and trimmed). A mustache does make a young man look more mature (older); so, I can see why some men like to wear them. But, after you reach a certain age; they just make you look old.
Beards; if you just have to wear one - keep it clean, combed, and trimmed so, it is neat, not scraggly. Also, wear it long enough so that the hairs are soft; not scratchy. Shampoo and conditioner will help keep it clean and soft.
But, I do not prefer beards simply because if I want to kiss your cheek or nibble along the jaw line; I do NOT want a mouth full of hair. I might as well kiss or nibble the back of your head! Yuck!

Beards and mustaches are hair styles for the face. Men can look good, bad, rediculous, or even scary. He must adapt a style to go with his face and the hair on his head. That look may be with a beard or mustache or it may be clean shaven. And another thing, beards must be full. They cannot be laden with hair bumps and ingrown hair or hair that curls up skimpy and doesn't grow. That can be gross. For the record, I have never seen a handle bar mustache that I liked.
A beard can hide a weak chin and give a man a look of distinction. A mustache can give cover to the fact that a guy does not have an upper lip to speak of. For the guy who cannot keep a poker face a beard can partially hide his facial expressions. Even so, he should know his eyes still give him away. A well groomed beard or mustache that compliments the face can be a thing of beauty. A woman can take comfort in being gently nuzzled by a guy with soft well-kept facial hair. On the other hand, a woman can feel like she is with a porcupine if that facial hair is coarse, wiry and unkempt. It's no fun kissing a guy whose mustache extends over his upper lip or trying to cuddle with a guy whose facial hair pokes and irritates your skin everytime you are near him.
Guys with beards and mustaches may not have to shave everyday, but they still have to do maintenance. Often they do have to shave the perimeter to maintain the shape - or see a barber on a more regular basis. They have to be careful when they eat so food and drink do not get trapped in their nest.
My husband wears a mustache and closely cut beard. When my son was about three or four years old, my husband decided he would go clean-shaven. In the morning before he went to daycare, my son saw his dad with his usual mustache and beard. That evening when my husband came home from work, he was clean-shaven. My son took one look at his Dad and started crying uncontrollably. It took a while to calm that kid down and convince him that Daddy's beard would grow back. This is still a family joke even after 35 years.

I am rather lazy and only shave about every 3 days. I don't mind a few days' beard, but once it grows for more than a week it starts to bother me, stinging me when I lay my face on the pillow to sleep, for example. I've had a goatee, but never kept it for more than two weeks.
As of the mustache - I don't think you'll ever see me wearing one.
So, to conclude, I guess I prefer a 2-3 days' beard.

I prefer a well trimmed goatee on my hubby he looks sexy that way. Clean shaving he looks really geeky rather than masculine. I hate his beard as it doesn't do anything for me other than make him look scruffy & save $ on razors.

I do not like men with beards. My husban grew one once but I refused to kisss himuntil he shaved. I do not like a man with excess hair. They look gorrilary and I find that repulsive. A small moustache is o.k.

I hate mustaches on men but I do love beards on them.. However If I have to kiss them then I am not to crazy about it and prefer fresh shaved.. My husband is usually fresh shaved but every now and then he will grow in a beard and I think he looks great

I actually prefer a little beard and mustache. Most women don't seem to like it. I just turned eighteen so when I have a mustache or beard, adults would say it's not a real beard or mustache, but to me and my feelings it is real, despite of the light color and the softness.

I prefer my guy to be clean shaven. It's alright if he has a little bit of scruff, but beyond that, I don't really care for facial hair.

On my first husband was alive, I felt he looked best in a beard, he had a receding chin. My current husband just looks old if he lets his facial hair grow out. He looks much better clean shaved.

Well, as a one-man woman, I prefer my man to be clean shaven - but then I've never seen him any other way.
I have 5 sons and all of them at one stage or another have grown beard and/or mo. I much prefer them clean-shaven, but at least they keep them neat and tidy and certainly not bushy.

I like men with beard and moustache.. but it really depends on how they keep it, and if it really suits them... though with my boyfriend, I like him freshly shaved cause I don't like kissing him with all the moustache... it hurts my face when I kiss him. hahahaha.

As a man, a working man, and also in an office letting a beard grow is against regulations as it looks like your untidy and irresponsible. As I'm in an Asian country they have many regulations, I doubt if you were an American you'd get any warning what so ever as they give more freedom there and it is human rights to leave your beard shaved, or unshaven.
