how to spend your birthday?

My birthday is coming soon,i'm preparing for it these days.
i plan to hold a birthday party at home,and have invited 8 friends of mine.
it is a difficult thing to hold party,for i rarely do it,normally once per year.
to make sure everyone have a nice night at my home,i must prepare plent of food,fruits,drink and snacks,have a great house cleaning,prepare good music to build relaxational atmosphere, some kind of games for play afte party.
how about you? my dear friends,do you like which way to spend you birthday? hold a party,have a dinner with family members at home,go travelling or have dinner with friends at outside?

Hello shuying. I think that it is a lot of fun to invite your friends to celebrate your birthday at the birthday party, but it is really too tiring, as is said in the discussion. We celebrate our kids birthday by inviting our relatives and friends in a nice restaurant, but as to us parents, we just spend it in our home without inviting anyone, just our own family members. We cook something nice to eat and prepare some soft drinks or milk and fruits and so on.

The last grand party I had was when I had my debut. we had in a hotel complete with cotillion de honor. The next "party" I had was thrown by my then boyfriend (now hubby) in his house for my friends. I dont really like spending my birthday grandly. For two years now, I've been spending the day with my husband and daughter. We eat out and go to the mall. That's it. I'm happy with that.

My birthday is coming too. I may go home to our hometown to celebrate the town fiesta. Hear mass, may attend public dances with some old time friends, having videoke and little drinks with them. The following day then, after an early morning mass, you can go to each and every house and taste their food preparations for the fiesta. It's the feast day of the "La Milagrosa" and everybody's happy. The following day is my birthday and maybe just go on swimming with close friends, bring more foods again and experience a birthday picnic.

a picnic is an interesting way to spend birthday,and how lucky you were born after the fiesta,it always have enough time and plent of friends to enjoy your birthday.
