my wife is 5'7" tall and I'm 2 inches taller than her. But when she dressed-up and put her favorite high heels, I felt she taller than me. And as most of the other girls here in the Philippines averages at around 5'4" in height, she fells towering over everyone.
How tall is too tall? Have you ever encountered dating with a guy shorter than you are?

I'm also 5'7 and I rarely use high heels, cause it's really weird when almost all your friends are shorter than you. hehehe. My boyfriend is an inch taller than me, so if I wear heels, i'm taller than him already.... Back in college, I have dated guys who were shorter than me.. It was weird for other people, though not for me.. hahaha.

Hmm, I think being tall is when your height actually matches that of a guy's. I think it's better when the guy is taller. But I don't know in other countries, I don't think height is an issue for them. But for most Asian countries where women are small, I think men are just used to women being smaller to them and get intimidated when they are taller. That's why I think guys in Asian countries prefer smaller girls. That's what I think but not generalizing though.

I'm also A 5'7" tall girl but I'm not wearing shoes with heels anymore, cos I felt that I'm the tallest girl in the world.. LOL.. Actually here in our country, being a tall girl is unique.. Yeah that's what I'm just feeling, cos whenever I go to some places I never went before, they are always staring at me like I'm an alien which makes me feel annoying..
But for the woman who lives in USA, being tall is not different at all. The tallest girl I've seen personally is in 6 feet..
But when it comes for dating a guy, of course I'm not choosing someone who's shorter than me hehe

Haha...nope..sorry mate, I've never dated a guy who was shorter than me...shoot, I'd be too embarassed. I either must've been too young to make that "mistake" or too wildly in love. Imagine walking into a bar/club/restaurant and people would be staring at the two of you, and you're feeling like "Oh hell, here come the looks again...hi everybody..don't mind us, I'll just take my under-aged date here to that table into the far corner over there...yep, enjoy your drinks, keep at it folks, don't let us discourage you"...
I don't think your wife is too tall. Besides, if she only wears heels when going out, people notice the heels, and you shouldn't feel embarassed. Now imagine if that were the case daily. Don't overstress for nothing.
Hehe, I wouldn't mind overtowering someone, especially when dealing with men (sometimes men tend to overpower women simply by their nature,by how "macho" they feel") and she would be intimidating to any man who would ever try to harm her. I'd onyl try to see the positive in this, and have fun while at it.
