Hi, mylotters, Just a few days ago, I was told that i got an opportunity to transfer a goog new job which I always want to be standed. when I got this message, I was so happy of it, but it seemed not easy to get transfered. My present boss told me he would not allow me transfer immediately,he wanted me to stay the position for a while. but the other side did not wait me for long time. that is an absolutely good chance for me. How can I do to persuade my present boss cut me some slack. Help me! my dear mylotters.

Doesn't your present boss realize that if he doesn't let you go, you're just going to be unhappy? Nobody is irreplaceable. Can you offer to help train somebody in the time you would have left? And tell him you will never forget it if he helps you?

If you are transferring, isn't it out of his hands? You should talk to your soon-to-be NEW boss and explain the situation to him. That you would really like to start working the new job immediately, but you're having some difficulty transferring. Perhaps your new boss can talk to a superior about it and get it straightened out. Otherwise.. Can't you just QUIT your current job and move onto the next one? I don't quite understand the transferring process.

hi benjamendeng listen to Dawnald as she makes good sense, explain again or yet to your boss that you really appreciate all he has done, but you do not' want to miss this new opportunity to move on up. He should be able to understand that you want to continue to better yourself at work and maybe he will indeed cut you some slack.
