Hi, i have a paypal account and I start get money to the account there everyday for the work I did on the previous day. Today one of my friends told me that paypal charges a fee for every single time I get money to my account. is it true? I thought of accumulating money in paypal and then ask them to deposit it to bank account at one go, say when I reach 1004 or soemthing like that. I know that they charge 8% of the money I ask them to deposit in my bank account. Is it a correct information? Anybody who gets money via paypal to India,I would like to hear how it works for you too...

There is no charge when you receive money to your Paypal account. Unless you have a merchant account or so. Paypal usually charge the company or person who might be paying you. And the company or person may pass that amount to you. About withdrawing money to your savings account. First you need to provide some bank information. If its a big bank like SBI or ICICI etc., then it would approved and money can be easily transfered. If you are withdrawing Rs.5000 or so(you need to check the limit when withdrwing) or more then there is no charge. If its less then there is a fee of Rs.50. You said you get money to your Paypal account for previous days work. Could you tell me the work you are doing. You could message me.

SBI won't charge you. Paypal converts the money and sends Indian Rupee to your savings account. When you want to withdraw dollars from Paypal, it will show you the exchange rate and how much rupee it comes to. If the amount you are withdrawing from Paypal to SBI is below the limit(i.e Rs5000 or so) then Rs50 will be deducted from the amount you are withdrawing. Ex: 1] You want to withdraw $100 into your SBI account. The exchange rate is $1=Rs50. Then Rs5000 gets transfered to SBI account. No charge. 2] You want to withdraw $50. The exchange rate is $1=Rs50. Then Rs.2500 - Rs.50 = Rs.2450 gets transfered to SBI. SBI does not charge you anything since there is no currency conversion for them. Hope this clears your doubt.

hi malpoa! You can actually check the exact paypal fee charges at their fees page located at the bottom of the page. Paypal charges fee for every money you receive, this fee will be paid by you if the buyer did not shoulder that fee. You will be charged also when you requested to transfer your paypal money to your bank account (but there are some free of charge). Please refer to their paypal fee page.

Actually malpao, the charge that I was reffering may or may not be applicable to you... it depends on the agreement of the buyer who pays you... Some buyer (online sites that pays us) have prior agreement with paypal... so you will see no deductions on the money that was credited to you. Check on the details of every transactions in your paypal. You will see if there are deductions or none. Everything is there. Hope this help you.

Yes, according to the guidelines of Paypal, they charge a fee for every single time you get money to your account. It is said that there are different rules of fee in different countries. Of course, if your Paypal account is just a personal(free account) one, there is no charge for transfer transactions between two different Paypal account. But if you want to get money to your bank account, Paypal will charge a fee for every single time. Before you are ready to withdraw money from Paypal, remember to get familiar with the guidelines of Paypal in your country. Good luck!

It's not much. It's somewhere around 33 cents per dollar. But if you think about it, it's worth it because Paypal is an important necessity when you're planning on earning money online. I don't even really consider it, since it's very little compared to the money made online. Don't panic...

Hi malpoa! I use paypal but I am sorry that I don't know how the fee of transaction is calculated. I guess it is cost-efficient to transfer money in bulk. By the way, I am also interested in the work from which you are paid. Would you tell me please? Thank you :)
