Does Finding the Real Happiness is a Matter of Choice???

Other says that being happy is a matter of choice, in spite it is you yourself who can determine what can make you happy. But for me, being happy is considering other peoples emotions or feelings. Before I'm the kind of a person who would do anything for me to attain the happiness that all I've ever wanted in my life, but as I become mature enough I've learned that sacrificing your own happiness for the sake of others is more worth it and fulfilling. Have you found the real happiness in life??
