I do! There was way to many bad calls by the umpires that went the Yankees way and should not of! I think the umpires were paid off to do this and they helped the Yankeess win the 2009 World Series! Before anyone says I doing this because I hate the Yankees is wrong! I'm a baseball fan and I smell something fishing going on! It has happen before! I hope MLB looks into this! It needs to be!

Hi blue65packer, I agree with all the bad calls that the umps made and even though I really wanted the Phillies to win, I don't think the games were fixed. But probably when the Phillies lost, that was the first thing I yelled (smile). As my significant other (who is a huge Green Bay Packers fan, by the way) says, umps are human and they will make mistakes...but come on really, that's quite a few to make. Maybe with enough of a fan outcry, they will change some of the rulings to allow replays before making the final decision.

Oops, I don't mean to say that I agree with all the bad calls, I meant to say I agree that there were many bad calls made. That makes more sense!

Opps sorry, I don't really follow sports, I thought this might be something to do with Panathianikos but I think it's basketball they are into rather than baseball but they might have a team in that as well. Anyway their football team is more famous. If you like football at all there is a special interest for Panathianaikos
but so far it just centeres around football but if they play this baseball to you could put a discussion in there.

Hi thea, the abbreviations are NFL - National Football League, MLB - Major League Baseball, NBA - National Basketball Association, all on this side of the pond. I never heard of Panathianikos though and I'm going to look it up to see what it is. I like sports too except I can't get into basketball too much.

I did not watch the game or keep up with it this year. It would not suprise me one bit, that the whole game was rigged or fixed for the Yankees to win it. Everything seems to be political or corrupted these days.

now for the record i am a yankees fan, however i think this year playoffs was the worst umpiring i have ever seen and it goes for all the games not just the ones involving the yankees. game 2 when the phillies got a double play on a ball that bounced tell me how that one went in our favor. i know our team spends the money more then anyone else does, however alot of the other teams get lots of money ever year from the yankees and they choose to put it in there pocket rather then to spend it on their team now how is that the fault of our team. we had a great team this year which had a great chemistry and they deserved to win and since we had not won in over 10 years lots of other teams have had the chance to win it in that time. i don't think it was fixed, but i do believe that the umpires no matter how many they have can not see everything and they should expand the instant replay to more then just fair or foul and fan interference calls.

This years baseballs playoffs where the worse I have ever seen! I mean with the umpires! With instant replay I don't know if should use more then detereme if a tey got a home run called right or not. Something has to get better with the umps or we'll probaly have a real bad call 2010 season! we will see!

I don't think it was fixed, it just had horrible umpires. Hopefully after some review, MLB will do something to change it for next year.

Bad calls went both ways in the series. But I have to agree it did appear that the Yankees benefited more from these calls. As for the series being fixed, I don't really think so. Now if it had gone to game 7 after the Yankees had been ahead in game 6 I might have a different opinion. I would then have to say that the almighty dollar had prevailed.

The series probaly weren't fixed but I agree the mighty dollar did prevailed! I just wish someday soon they get a salary cap in baseball and other teams have a better chance at the Series becides teams like the Yankees!
