As the holidays come upon us yet again, it is the time of the year that I get nostalgic. I think about the numerous ways that I have been blessed in my life. And I'm sure that there are other people that do the same. Please share the blessings in your life with me. For me they are: 1. I have a great family who is very supportive. 2. We have a roof over our head that actually belongs to us. 3. My children are able to have everything that they need and even some things that they want as well.

Those are all indeed great blessings in your life. I'm also very glad to know that I'm not the only person that feels this way during the holiday season.

If I wasn't able to recognize the fact that I've been blessed in my life, I honestly don't know if my life would be worth it. The support of the people that are close to me is important and I'll always be thankful that I have it.

There are so many blesings in our lives which shows that God is good and with the holidays coming up, it is a time to reflect on how a whole year has just passed by. Even though things have not gone the way we wished, there are a lot of things to be grateful for. 1, That I and my family are healthy, happy and alive. 2. We have the basic necessities of life which are food, shelter and clothing. Indeed there is a lot to be thankful for

Those are indeed great things to be thankful for. As long as the people that we love are alive and healthy and we have the basic necessities in life, I really don't think there is a lot more that we can ask for.

You are very lucky to be financially stable with the economy the way that it has been for the past two years. We too are blessed that my husband has been able to keep his job during this time of turmoil as well. We are also blessed that I am able to stay at home with our son during these first crucial years of his life.

I am thankful for my son who has been relatively healthy this year, my family especially my mom who has to buy us food and my son clothes, my friends, my new apartment, but I am most thankful for GOD answering some of my prayers and listening to all of them.

I am blessed to have happy, healthy, beautiful children, a husband that loves all of us and does all he can to take care of us, the ability to work and pursue some of my dreams, family and friends that love and support me in all that I attempt to do with my life but is willing to tell me exactly how they feel about a situation, a roof over my family's heads, food on our table, bills that are paid, and most importantly, I am blessed to be loved, watched over, and guided by God each and every day.

All of these are reasons that you and your family are very blessed. The one that really caught my eye is that you said bills that are paid. This year has been difficult for so many people that I know there are people who don't have this blessing in their lives right now.

All of the holidays that come up during the end of the year, actually. I always get so nostalgic during this time of the year because it is when I am able to spend the most time with my family.

There are so many who are less fortunate than us . . . we have much to be thankful for in life! It's hard to pick just three, but for me, included in the list would be: 1. I have a loving husband, and best friend, who is working so hard to make ends meet here so that I can be a stay-at-home mom for our children. It's tough, but we feel it's best for our kids during these crucial years. 2. I am grateful to my parents and sister, who have done so much to help us. They have always been very interactive with our little one and she so much feels the love of from her grandparents and aunt. 3. That we are able to have a sibling for our little one soon . . . for a while it seemed like it wasn't going to happen.

You really didn't have to stick to three, those were just the ones that were at the top of my head earlier. All of the reasons that you've said you are blessed, are truly wonderful reasons that you are blessed. I hope that you have the best of luck with the new little baby that you are expecting.

Well first .. the holidays are always majorly depressing for me and I become a hermit till they pass if at all possible. But in life I've got many blessings in it as it's all the smalllest of blessings from talking to a good friend, petting the lil pup, to even being able to walk and function with out assistance. Though I've not got the best of things surrounding me and I definately don't live in a mansion , I'm truly blessed as there are people I choose to have around me that are real and have substance to them. And most of all they have heart. So every day I wake up and take a breath to see my dogs ears perk up and look at me right before he comes to the head of the bed to say good morning is a blessing in it's self.

I agree with you that we don't have to have the best of things to be blessed. Our family has never been rich and we will never live in a mansion, but the fact that we have each other is really enough for me.

Let me count the ways... I feel extremely blessed to have a family who is accepting, loving and forgiving towards me, and who treat me not only as a family member but as a friend. I'm also blessed to be able to live in my house - it's so perfect for me & my family! I'm blessed because my family members and I have never suffered from serious (physical) health problems. I'm blessed because I receive wonderful mental health care when I need it. And of course, I feel very blessed to have extra money to buy luxuries. And last but not least, I am blessed to have a kitty in my life who is a good friend to me!

It truly is a blessing to be able to consider your family as your friends as well. And you are definitely especially blessed to not have to deal with major medical issues in your family.
