My daughter-in-laws, sons, and granddaughter are all on Facebook and they insisted that I join and put my information on "my wall". We used to email each other and pass the latest news around, but not anymore. It seems that I have to get on Facebook to find out what is going on. Personally I'd rather use email.
In an article that I was reading about Facebook, it mentioned Mark Pincus, of Zynga, the person who has developed FarmVille and Mafia Wars. These games seem to be really taking off and several of my family are involved in them. I guess it's a great way to spend your time and many people are really hooked on them. I didn't know that it costs money to improve your farm and plant things and what have you, does it cost $5.40 for a blue barn. Is this real or play money, like monopoly?
It seems the developer of these games is really raking in the cash. He named his business "Zynga" after a pet dog that he used to have. Maybe I'll try FarmVille one of these days when it's cold and snowing outside.
What do you think of these games, are you playing them?

You can earn on your farm to upgrade, it doesnt need to cost, but some people do pay for upgrades, isn't that the point of free stuff? It hooks you in. My brother put my kids pictures and info about what they were doing, this is dangerous to me. He has a huge open list. I am not in control of this content. I dont like theses sites.
