Times are tough right now for lots of people. Bills are starting to be paid late because paycheck already spent and waiting on next payday. Being charge lates fees is taking away from regular bills. Should people start pawning their ipods, xbox, psp, ps3 or anything of value to help keep rent/mortgage paid and preventing utilities from being shut off?

I agree with the first person. It should be used as a total last resort. You never get even half of what you originally paid for them, it ends up being a joke, really. I would only suggest pawning things if you either have absolutely no other way to make your payments on time, or if you really don't USE what you have. In which case, eBay or Craigslist might actually turn out to be a bit more profitable than pawning them.

I have had to do that, but I now am running out of things to pawn. Yes, people can do that to get by a few weeks, with all the electronics of our modern decade, but the thing is- you will run out eventually. So do this in the mean time to get by, but you will ahve to find new ways to get by in a few weeks or months=/
