Ok, I'm hoping some of you will join in, because I'm thinking this could be a giggle!
Although we do speak English in Scotland, people from other parts of the world sometimes think we're speaking in tongues! Lol! I thought it might be good fun to show some Scottish slang words, and see if any of you could decipher them.
Any Scots will just get a good laugh! Dinnae gie th' gemme awa'!
Here they are:
Clarty
Boggin'
Cludgie
Pished
Beasties
Amurny
Peely-wally
Humphy
Hackit
Ba'-heid
Sleekit
Greetin'
Toarn faced
Wean
Bairn
I'm hoping some of you will have some guesses! And also that you'll share your own slang words!

Hi Thea. Aye, big beasties, wee beasties. Can you use malaka in a sentence for me? I don't have a clue!
You've made me wonder, JB. I think with pished, it's not the word thats Scottish, just that we have a sh instead of a ss, lol! And I've only heard Scots use beasties, unless it's coming from someone who's giving us a ribbing!
Maybe they don't properly belong to us then! Boo! I'm going to check.
