Were you born in the A.M. or the P.M.? One of my instructors has a theory

Ding Ding definitely isn't a morning cat! - Ding Ding loves strange places to sleep. A person never knows where they will find him sleeping.

In class last Monday night my instructor presented a theory about how we function. People born in the morning hours are more of a "day" person, they function better during the early morning hours and they tend to go to bed earlier. She found that most of the people that she talked to who were born in the afternoon and late night were more of a "night owl" person who would be up late and go to bed in the wee hours of the morning. Were you born in the A.M. or P.M. hours? Do you follow this theory???

I do not follow this theory. I was a night owl even before I was born at 7am. My Aunt tells me that I would keep my mother awake and then calm down until afternoon. I have always had jobs that I worked late into the night. I have delivered pizzas and worked the night audit at a hotel. I had one job that I had to be at work at 6am, I did not keep that one for long.

I was born in the PM and all my kids were born in the AM. I can do whichever, just got to get use to it, but I do prefer to not get up too early, 6:30 is early enough for me.. As for my kids, they are all night owls..My one daughter spent Christmas Eve one year IMing a friend for 12 hours straight, over night..I get up Christmas morning and she's still on the computer..lol

I was born in the A.M. as my mom told me before. I do not want to be night owl person, but sometimes I have to stay late to finish my project. If I am free, I will go to bed early. This does not mean your instructor's theory is right. I know many people who were born in the A.M. prefer working at night and they have good productivity during the night.

hi loverbear yes indeed I was born in the afternoon and I am definitely a night person, a night owl. I cannot really even fall asleep till after midnight and am most alert in the late afternoon and up to midnight. When I was still in our apartment I seldom went to bed before 1 a.m. So I do follow this theory.

Well, I was born at 4 o' clock in the morning. Yet, I am not a "day" person. I mostly go a bit late, mostly around 12 o'clock to the bed. So, in my case this theory does not work .

I was born right around midnight. I'm pretty much a nightowl. I don't know how this could even relate to each other, but that is pretty interesting.

I was born 11:30 PM and I am half way sometimes I am a night owl and could sleep till 3 am in the morning. But, still could wake up as earlier than 7am. I think it have something to do with the way you set your thinking like having a body clock whn I am thinking I am going to wake up early, I do rise earlier even without alarm clock. As the body is already adjusted to the same phase or period it already adopted the process. Thus, I could say it depend on the activities for the day of the person whether he/she could follow a normal routine of sleeping or becoming a late sleeper.

Do u also believe in this theory. I was born at 7.16 PM and it is was easy for me to stay awake till late at night and difficult to get up in the morning. I could never get up early in the morning to study. But with age it has all changed and now I am asleep by 9.30 PM and up by 4 or 5 AM. So I go by my childhood habit, then this theory seems to be right. But my present habit goes against this theory.

I was born in the morning, I liked sleeping early when I was a child. I think it accord to your theory. But the thing is running to the other side. I have already adapted to the habit of sleep late now. I can not deep sleeping and often weak up for a little sound.

I was born in the AM hours and would have to disagree with that theory... I think it depends on the activities of the person that leads them to be a morning person or a night owl... Interesting though :D

I was born at 11:43 pm. I must say that I don't agree with your professor. I prefer working in morning. I function better and I think faster when I am on a morning shift (I love my 6am-2pm shift). I am more focused in the mornings. I enjoy going home early, sleeping early and waking up early. I seldom go out to party as well and when I do I am not really fond of staying until the wee hours of the morning.

I have never heard of it. I was born in very early morning, it's about 3:30am. I wonder whether my function is better during the early morning hours:) I don't like going to sleep earlier:) I love China

I was born in the morning and co-incidentally, your instructor's theory is true to me. I am more of a day person and I don't have a night life. I sleep early in the evening. I hope that theory is true to others. have a wonderful day.

I was born in the early morning hours. So, according to the theory, I would function better during the early morning hours and then I tend to go to bed earlier. But in fact, I am not such a "day" person. According to the experience myself, I will become more active in night. Yeah, everyday, I often work until the mid-night because there are always lots of work that need to be finished. Of course, I often get up early and begin the whole new day. From this point of view, the theory of your instructor may be right. You see, I am a workaholic indeed. Of course, in my opinion, all theories do not apply in all cases. Happy myLotting!
