A lot of people have told me that it was pretty good, but I think that the "Sookie Stackhouse Series" is far better "True Blood" is the show that is based on the "Sookie Stackhouse Series". I am very picky when it comes to vampire books because I read 60 pages of "Twilight" and I want to throw it across the room, I hated it that much. I read the original "Dracula" by Bram Stoker, and that was a great piece of literature.

i have started the sookie books, but because i have been watching the true blood seiries the books are slow and boring me as i know whats already happened, lol thats why i prefer to read before watching.
twilight you got to give it a chance, its slow starting out but after a while it gets addicting.

I gave Twilight a chance and I thought it was trash. Twilight is for pre-teen girls who have never been struck hit in the face by reality. Sparkling vampires, a bland girl who gets all of the guys, Edward puts Bella in danger, and the way she looks at him makes me want to vomit. Sorry, but that kind of story is not for me. Sookie loves Bill, but at least she knows that he is still a vampire and she knows that at any point and time he could kill her. Also, Sookie is not bland, she has abilities and she can take care of herself to some extent. Also, True Blood is just so funny and exciting. It's well written, stays as true to the mythos as it can, and it has a lot of adult humor and situations.

I only watched 1 complete episode of Vampire Diary's and I wasn't impressed with it. It seemed like it was missing something to me. I haven't read the books either.
