What color of the house would you suggest?

I can see what you mean. I like white, but solid white could get a little boring. Have you thought of beige? Or taupe? We are going to be painting soon, and I'm kinda embarassed to say this, but I've been driving around looking at houses I like. I saw a beautiful home last weekend that was beige or cream, with a taupe border. It looked simple but classy and it seems like that color combination would hold up well to the weather.
A good reference point with some wonderful ideas ( wow, I love them...I should make up a card and pass it out, lol) is http://www.housepaintingtutorials.com/house-paint-colors.html
I hope you love what you wind up with...good luck!

We had our house painted a couple of years ago and we did each room a different color. One thing I would highly reommend is having an accent wall in each room. Sure makes the rooms look so nice. We did a bright burgandy wall in our living room area along with white walls for the rest of the room. It looks just great and we get more compliments. Know what you mean about all white walls. Can get pretty boring.

hi dorisday1971 That all depends on whether or not you have a homeowner's association where you live. if you do they are going
to have something to say about what color you may choose,if you are lucky and do not have such a thing, I would suggest a nature's shade of green.that is soothing and easy to live with
and would blend well with any landscaping you may have.
