Romblon is one of the three major islands in Romblon Province, Philippines; the other two is Sibuyan Island and Tablas Island. This small island is known for it's marble (a sedimentary kind of stone). Romblon, the third island in size, giving it's name to the group on account on central location and mineral wealth. The province of Romblon is situated practically in the center of the Philippines and known as the "heart" of the country. Just like the Boracay Island, who is famous for its white beach, this hidden and undiscovered hometown of mine has a lot of beautiful and white beaches as well.

Yes, you're right. I have been to other places in the Philippines but i still love my home province, Romblon. It is rich in natural resources though at present there are mines already in Sibuyan island. I hope the government will regulate mining in that island. I could still remember the days when i was working in Romblon and i have to travel from one island to another. Sibuyan at that time is still untouched, when you go around the island it seems you're traveling in the middle of a thick forest, very cool and refreshing even during summer. You will enjoy looking at the different colors of flowers of the shrubs and trees beside the road. Plus the wild orchids of course clinging to the tree branches. I dont know if it still the same nowadays. In tablas island, i enjoy the different agricultural products there like the peanuts and turnips (singkamas). Their suman and bibingkang kanin are incomparable also the kalamay hati.In Romblon, Romblon, i love the countryside air, the one i really miss for a long time now. The beaches, the food, (remember utan na langka with lumbay and pinais) the people and the culture. Oh how i wish i could go home very often.

I never been there our neighbor live there. It is far from civilization actually if they want to send money for their loved ones there's no bank there and they only depending on the one pawnshop to get their money. Yes it is still untouched and I think it is good so the nature their would not destroy like Boracay. We can understand the dialect there because it is a mixed of Ilonggo and Bisaya.

In Romblon, Romblon the capital town, there is PNB, in Tablas island the biggest one there is PNB and Landbank. Maybe your neighbor is from the other small islands of Romblon. There are about 12 islands making up the province of Romblon.

yeah your right. maybe your friend was from the other islands of the province. The island where we live in is the capital of the said province. Eventhough its small, there are a lot of development now, there are banks, schools (both secondary and college) and also churches and hospital as well.
