Has someone ever made a statement that really got to you?

I have this new friend that shall remain nameless to tell me that I had a fake smile. For some reason that really got to me. I know I don't smile in my pics all that much, but when I do I assure you it isn't fake. Has anyone else ever had someone state something so superficial that bothered you for no reason?
